I really love the paint on Cronic figs.
Not owning a lot, I have to say I'm happy with the Max Toy & Black Parade Maverasus that I have.
Cronic paint on clear vinyl is amazing and the metallic colors are even crazier.

Those are both great scores. The Black Parade Mav is one of the ones I was talking about with Naoki perfecting the metallic paint color barrage technique. (The other is the Mav from a couple months ago (Hobby Con, I think it was) that came with a print.)

andy, i'm guessing you're friends with naoki or at least know him in person?

Yeah, I've known Naoki for a couple of years. Very cool dude.

While this thread almost hit the tipping point of a thrash-out on defensive cronic lovers (ahem), I'm really glad that we, as a community of collectors have been able to maturely discuss our thoughts about a particular toy. I really hope that we can have more thread discussions like this (but maybe without the pointing out of whether or not someone is being bad or not, because hopefully thread discussions like this will be more common-place around here.)

My initial posting of this thread was because while I was really enamored with Naoki's work at first, I started getting a little disappointed with the non-fight figure Cronic toys that have been released and I wanted the help of my fellow kaiju-collector community to re-assure me that Cronic is still total awesomeness; which I believe many of you have accomplished!

I now have a different viewpoint now on his non-fight figure sculpts and can appreciate them more now, from all of the reasons and critiques that many of you have provided.
