Anyway, thanks for posting this. For anyone who own teh 12" Medicom Sharkman you'll see exactly where teh colorway comes from. Here's a pic from a 2006 thread:

I know this hasn't been getting much love from the skullbrain crowd, but seeing this colorway, I will be stoked to display him next to Sharkman!

Wonder what the clear would go for now? Both pc's are great, the clear is ok, but the Blue is fantastik

I love these 12" toys, like I said back then - totally underated! I've seen teh clear go for as low as $50 for a displayed version on this very board, retail they were 9800 yen - the suited opaque versions are somewhat harder to score. Mine came from Toyshop Rough for 12,000 yen each back in the day.

Love the nod to Sharkman. I am guessing / hoping the next will be all clear.

I kinda prefer the the less cartoony 12" OG but the retro colourway is enough to convince me . . .

I guess the question is am I gonna need ANOTHER shelf for these ugly muthas or is it just a one off . . or the odd exclusive

Yeah, I too wish they had made the head sculpt look more like the 12" head sculpt - I really hate the cartoony feel of the fight figure's head...it just looks so cheesy and lame. It reminds me of all those t-shirts in the 90s with graff kids, or anthropomorphized spray cans on the lower front corner - really lame style.

I just saw a pic of BxH's crappy shark fig. I guess its a rite of passage...

BXH's Sameru Kun is by no means "crappy." Get it right.

Sorry, but in matters of opinion, I got it dead to rights. I think the shark figs in awful as well as a great deal of other BxH toys. They've got OG status and excellent marketing but most of their toys leave me flat. More for BxH fans eh?

i think this piece is great! it has a sorta cartoony feel, with a badass edge. the colorway is amazing too, compliments it completely. a clear version would be a nice sight as well! anyone know any specifics as to when this thing will be released?

honestly, and in efforts to actually contribute to this thread, I think this figure would have benefitted more with a whole new body design...I understand and appreciate it being part of SB's aesthetic and allure, and it has worked amazingly up until now...it just looks like they slapped on a cool head and claws to the old boy...well, it doesn't look like it...that actually IS the case here.

I agree this guy EDIT: is not a stellar sculpt , but it's a collab with Grapple so maybe they have some director of marketing standing over thier shoulder screaming "MAKE IT MORE BADASS! MAKE IT MORE CARTOONY! YOU KNOW WHAT MAKE HIM A SHARK WITH BEAR CLAWS! THATS SUPER BADASS!
