 Marmit Cryptozooids
Picked this up recently. Thought I'd share since it's something you don't see every day.
Marmit's "World's Real Kaiju" mini-figure set.
Always thought cryptozoology was cool since a friend gave me a book on it when we were in high school. This set has a bunch of weird ones, too.
Front row: Frogman, Tsuchinoko, Flatwoods Monster, Mothman
Second row: Ogopogo, Chupacabra, Nessy, Lukwata
Third row: Winged cat, Mokele-mbembe, Russian yeti
Neat, eh?

They have these in Trashout. I got addicted while hanging out at the store. They are a great set of figures. I think their are gid versions of each figure.

Wow- the rest of the glow set looks really good. I might need to track those down someday.
Thanks for sharing your pics.

I have the Flatwoods Monster. It was given away as a freebie with Hyper Hobby a long time ago. I've been told that these are in really high demand in Japan.
Whoever thought that we'd be able to own a toy of Mokele-Mbembe? ;p

I'm not so much into the mini-figs but those are great - both in concept and execution. I'm going to have to start hunting the glow set.

I spotted a couple of the painted flatwoods on YJA last night, but no full sets or any of the others I don't think....

If anyone knows where I could score a set of these, either the glow or painted, I would be very grateful for a link or some other lead
I picked up a loose FWM from this set from this Japanese guy who has a store in Arlington Heights, near me, and guess how much it cost me?
...$1.50!
I then went back a little later and bought the other one he had there, and gave it to Argyle Goolsby from Horrorpunk band Blitzkid.
About a week later I found on ebay the Hyper Hobby issue with this as the special figure!, so I kept the one from that and sold the other one. I noticed that the paint color on the eyes are different on mine compared to the one in the picture there.
That Mothman is beyond adorable.

Yeah that Jackalope is my pick of the litter too. Hopefully these will have some GIDs in the mix like the first release.

 Re: Marmit Cryptozooids
I'm a huge fan of Cryptozoology. I have been since I was a kid. I need to track down a set of these. Any ideas where I can get that new set at?

 Re: Marmit Cryptozooids
The set in the first post comes up on YJA from time to time. I haven't seen the new one I posted in the wild anywhere, but usually with toys like this, they make lots of them.

 Re: Marmit Cryptozooids
Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye out on YJA. I haven't bought anything from there before, but I did find a post online just now giving detailed information on how to go about using a bidding service to get items from there. I probably shouldn't know that information though, because I spend enough money in shops that accept US based customers already.
