Its kind of sad to miss out on something as nice as this and thats from someone who it looks like got one of them. Mori has been slaying it with the designs on these.
I hope they do up the run sizes on this stuff. I've been really lucky in getting RxH lately and it'd be nice if there were more to go around.
You shouldn't need broadband, perfect timing, and the reflexes of a jet fighter pilot to get something as gorgeous as this.
The violet Akro, the Mutant and Evil that were similar to the Lamour run, bubbles, V3 Evil, Junkspot Big, and this Chaos were all great but also really limited.
I missed a lot of that but also have been really lucky in getting some of them through S7.
I think Mori risks frustrating his fans with these low runs though and thats from someone who did manage to get this and some of the others (I also missed some too).
RxH really should up production on some of these pieces imho. Don't care if there are a thousand if they look this nice I'd buy them (same with just about any other gang of four, Akro, or jinya).

It is only a toy . . . no doubt I will end up paying outta my ass a few days/weeks/months down the line but I'm still left wondering if the distribution network is spreading the good shit too thin . . . if RxH are being a lil' too overcautious, either intentionally or just naively . . . or if the market has simply reached critical mass with too few toys and too many collectors!
Roll on the next SB release . . . at least that shit I can generally score for retail (or less!)

The way I look at is it is just more money towards that one piece I have been wanting for a long time and always seems to come up after I blow money on a new release. I like the thrill of the hunt anyway.

I think a huge problem, one that we've all been guilty of, is people buying it saying "who knows when ill be around or online for the next rare release". Then that person buys it, gets it, decides they don't want it but wanted a previous rare release or upcoming release and try to trade for it. This is a self perpetuating cycle that ends up costing each individual collector more, in which none of the extra money goes to the company that releases the piece.
So, by increasing run numbers just a little you get more pieces into the hand of real collectors who really want said piece making people less likely to buy using the reasoning from above.
But who knows maybe I'm the only one whose ever thought that.

No, I think about this a lot.
I call the above behavior "trade-hoarding," and I dislike this immensely. If you don't want a toy, don't fucking buy it for the sake of having it. If you have a toy, you don't need a second one (usually). It pisses me off a little to see people populating their trade lists with a bunch of hard-to-find recent items (all MIB, usually) in the hopes of getting some OG item or other. Either that, or you see recent releases with jacked-up prices on the BST, when someone decides that they're "not feeling it" a week later.
I agree with your point, KLaddict, and not to diverge from this thread, but maybe instead of demanding greater releases sizes from Mori, we need to think a little harder about our own collecting attitudes.

Never was a fan of people who buy up dups with the intent on using them for tradebait. Rarely works from what i have seen on the boards. Just really lame.

I'm not even talking about dups. I'm talking about the fact that these releases sell out so damn quickly that when you are around and have a chance at one that you may not love you feel the urge to buy it just because your not sure when that chance will come again. I frequently find it hard to resist this particularly when out of the last releases I've missed out on all three bubbles and because of that found it very hard to resist on the past couple of rare mini releases when I've had a chance to purchase them at or close to retail.

Shut the Fuck up Peter!!!!
Dupe buying or buying for the sake of uptrade is L-A-M-E!!!! Takes figures out of the hands of true collectors and puts them into essencially flippers hands - flipping a new release for Old school stuff or rares.

hahahaahhahaa, crabby old man!
Uptrading will rarely work on me.
I'll wait it out versus unloading other rare stuff.
Besides, I don't need everything.

Dude references always make a better thread.
I almost bought it just to see if I'd like it in hand, but didn't wanna deal with it if I didn't want it and figured it'd be a waste of time.
That's only been worth it a handful of times for me, usually if I don't freak for pics than the real deal won't do it for me. There have been exceptions, but not enough to warrant doing it anymore.

If I have to think twice about something or I'm not 110 percent into it, I pass these days. I find selling stuff to be a real hassle.

Ok-
Here is the situation- I ordered the Chaos and it oversold so I have been offered the Evil that is coming in in the next couple of days instead-
I would much rather the chaos out of the 2 so would anyone who has ordered the chaos like to swap with me? for a guarenteed V3 evil shipping just a few days behind?
Who has the Chaos but would rather the V3 Evil?
Let me know and ill sort it out with Josh.
Thanks. Heres Hoping.

I really Like both the Chaos and The Evil- but realistically I would rather the chaos if I am only going to be able to get 1 of the pair- The Evil is in a much smaller run also- so it is a great deal for someone.
