our local rivers have been found to have toxic levels of "estrogen like" chemicals!
most likely from medical wastes & sewage dumped directly in the water..
so much so that the fish that live therein have severe mutations going on &
no longer have a gender!
no joke!

i would say more about this but it makes me too upset.

I read this and was so bummed. Thankfully I live in a pretty small city so I doubt that's a problem, YET. What the hell are they going to do about it?

What worries me the most is if the treatment plants can't get all of the drugs out of the water, how much fecal matter are we drinking as well?

Speaking of estrogen - long-term use of lavender (like daily use of soap w/ lavender oil) can increase the amount of estrogen in you system and can result in men growing breasts!

Pvt. Joe Bowers: What *are* these electrolytes? Do you even know?
Secretary of State: They're... what they use to make Brawndo!
Pvt. Joe Bowers: But *why* do they use them to make Brawndo?
Secretary of Defense: [raises hand after a pause] Because Brawndo's got electrolytes.

Perfectly fine drinking water comes outta the taps in the NW. I'm always reminded of how good we have it whenever I travel to other regions.
