If you wanna unlock some characters real fast go into brawl mode set it to 1 stock and super easy and just knock the crap out of your enemy over and over. You get characters this way (IE 50 brawls= falco 22 brawls= luigi 5=ness) but if you play it on Desert Moses Island 15 times you get snake. Its kinda cheap way to do it but it works

I have yet to get one to work.
Also how far are people on SSE?
Been playing with my roommate for three days and we're not even at 50%.

I think a good percentage of that time is watching the cut scenes.
Some of them are hilarious.

I got to 50% on my own, but don't tell her.

Been playing with my roommate for three days and we're not even at 50%. I believe Nintendo has stated that the Random Game servers are currently being tweaked due to overloading, but the thing I am hooked on is the "Spectator Mode."
You win coins in first player, and then bet them on unknown players you can spectate in random online matches. I think I've figured out a good system to keep the odds in your favor. The big, macho-type characters are almost always used by noobs, so I always bet on the players who use the obscure, wimpy characters. Shiek and Ness plyers OWN. Strangely addicting! Its like watching Smash Bros. on ESPN at the racetrack. Jackpot! 
Oh, and my favorite stage, by far, is the iceberg one, with the cool polar bear with shades!
