does anbody have any that have a loose shell? I have 3 and the one I just got from Roto has a loose shell, are the new ones all that way?

The shell on my Roto Marnon is also a bit loose. Among my five, the fit of the shell varies, but I did notice that the Roto version was looser than the others.
Maybe it has something to do with the process used to create the double-molded GID/clear effect?

I'm not sure what you mean... Is the GID vinyl in yours unevenly distributed?

I had a Marnon that sort of had a "bubble" effect on parts of it... as if some of the vinyl had air pockets in it. And yes, my shell was a bit loose on my fig as well.

I noticed the shells were loose at the Rotofugi booth during SF's recent Wondercon. But as it was the first time I'd held one, I thought it was normal.

Same here. I figured that's just how they all were.

I only own the first release, and it's shell is very tight.
Maybe the molds for the toy are wearing out, resulting in ill-fitting pieces.

My Rotofugi Marnon is the only one I own, but I've handled the original regular pink one. Mine definitely has a loose carapace, while I don't remember that being the case with the original.
But you know something?
Who cares?
Because the Rotofugi does this:
I have noticed tiny bubbles here and there in the glow vinyl...I don't have too many encased vinyls, so I don't know if this is common or not. But again...who cares? This thing looks ill.

there are some bubbles and "transparent holes" in mine but that only adds to the effect, IMO. I'm guessing it's normal for two-layer vinyl & a fairly detailed sculpt.
I don't have any others, but it's definitely my favorite Marnon design-wise.

Nice photos, Sanjeev. The paint on the Marnon actually adds to the glowie effect, rather than obscuring it.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, now that I'm focusing on them, I'm actually digging the bubbles--they appear as black voids while glowing. Pretty hot!
And, yeah, akum6n: there's some type of orange paint out there that some glowie manufacturers (M1, Slash...) use that actually glows bright orange along with the toy. Killer.

Great pics!
The paint scheme on the Marnon is great, and the forked tongue is much better than the previous two versions.
OK SANJEEV----Time for you to post some whole collection shots. I've been checking out your pics for years, but I have yet to see the whole shebang... I bet your collective glowing kaiju light-up your whole house!

Forked tongue=gooder'n hell.
hypermook, this is the second time you've asked for complete collection pics. It shames me not to have obliged you by now. Fucking job...distracting me from what's important in life...anyway, I'm taking a week off soon to do *just* that (among other toy-related goodness).
I have literally dozens of glowies I haven't even unbagged yet...
