Yeah, there are already "elite" venues ... that just seems to breed a lot of resentment among those who feel excluded. I still think the only real solution is to make some sacrifices. If something is ridiculously overpriced by a flipper, just walk away. Let it go. Try getting it from someone who isn't a vulture. Be patient.
Easy to say, I know...

How would it be elite by making the forums viewable only to members that are logged on? If anyone can join then I fail to see how it'd be elite. I don't know that it'd address the problem of people using the site to gauge hype, but perhaps it'd weed out a few people - and if not at least everyone would be aware of all the screen names that are reading the threads.

Unless you're hidden like me.
Also, I'm not sure that I would have joined the forums if I couldn't view the threads before becoming a member. I think we get a lot of good members that pull up random kaiju-related threads and check out other areas of the forum later before deciding to join on. But there's pros and cons to either method, I think.

People need to break out and learn to collect other than RxH. Learn to appreciate other stuff and possibly find the next RxH. Otherwise, I think you're doomed to disappointment and a life of ramen.
If I miss stuff, I miss stuff. I can find deals on a variety of other figures from other toy companies instead of paying triple inflated prices to be complete. And if the pace continues, attempting to be complete definitely will be a fool's game.
Besides how many Mutant Chaoses do I really need?
I'm more excited about that GID Doruge or the gold Heater King.
Oops. There goes the after market prices on those...

I agree with Liquid if you miss out on a RxH figure by a Beetlar, Ranibow or a Squirm. I love RxH but I'm not buying it all anymore even tough I could if I wanted to.
There are loads of cool toys that don't get any love. Sometimes it is good to try something new.

Words of wisdom. There's a board member (whom I won't embarrass by naming) whom I have so much respect for, 'cause he seems to stick to the Ultraman and Godzilla monsters even though he likes Real x Head. For me one of the most exciting releases of recent months was the clear set of Yamanaya/Bullmark x Gargamel Ultra minis ... but nobody's talking about them. It kills me that the Gargamel fight figures don't get more love. OTOH it's pretty clear why we obsess on RxH.

Thank god the flippers haven't caught on to how much everyone really wants skuttles. HMS' wouldn't be able to afford his BxH tee's if he had to start paying a premium for those, and I think we all can agree on this term, SACRED pieces of vinyl. I have never ever heard of secret base, real head or bounty hunter. I am still trying to figure out the elite world of Emperor's Club.

not that it's anyone's fault, but I don't think I'd obsess about RxH as much if there were just more of what I wanted to go around. When I find something I want, I keep the energy level up in my efforts. I really dig this company though, so I'll follow through until I find the pieces I'm after. I don't want them all--but Shintos and Bero Beros are a breath of fresh air in the realxhead world for me. I've also come to really like gatchigon.
I think it's easy to get carried away as Mori has just been pumping them out lately. I love seeing what's next--even if I have no intention of buying it.

So true, I got my first M1 GO matango in recently and this guy is my mind the 3rd best sculpt ever made (1st mutant head, 2nd rebel ink).
I LOVE me some RxH but even I learned that there is more to life than 1 brand. It will also give your collection more life.

If you look at some of the better collections, they are a mish-mash of various toys. Variety is the spice of life (queue in that damn Burger King commercial..."I'm Spicy!").

you're absolutely right. thank god i've discovered some other stuff aside from anraku and rxh (which i was focusing on for so long). find something else and learn about it. buy something for a normal price once in a while rather than blowing $400 on a mutant evil before it's been released in the US.
We're all guilty of going crazy on this stuff once in a while, but it's good to take a step back once in a while.

But it GLOWS! Worth every yen! I think the last one went for around 20,000円? Again someone trying to take advantage of the $ conversion mistake?

I saw this up weeks ago.
Thought it was a reaction to the 600,000 yen Bemons...

RIGHT !! Besides RxH some other coool stuff are still around, like the cute US TOYS kanegon, garamon... M1, gargamel, Marmit, even BANDAI !!
I think it is the desire that drive some people lost the sense of toy appreciation. Should we ask ourselves .... Are we collecting due to how we love it, the colorways, the design instead of how rare the toy is
It's the desire that drive people crazy.... the desire to score great toys one after one, this seems never ending and it keep torturing collector

I've been collecting Chaos since long before RxH mania went into overdrive. I'm happy that Mori is putting out so many cool new versions. It's getting tough to keep up, with so many folks collecting RxH (same goes for other stuff I collect), but I'm still groovin' on - win, lose, or draw.
Collecting and Hot Items go in waves here, and there's plenty of Hype to go around. Just go after what you really like, eh?

...whoever you are! They're a Celga user and apparently have no qualms about dropping the big bucks on RxH. He/she paid over $200 for the orange bubble Fighter Chaos from the last Superfestival.
