Needs more options. I would say not my cup of tea, but they are neat.

I went with dislike but i reckon the poll idea is sweet. I'd be quite interested to see what people think of new sculpts displayed in this way in future.

Make that 3. I think it would make a cool mascot for spicey noodle restaurant chain or something. But I wouldn't buy it.

Pros:
Sort of cute.
Could be a mascot (I agree)
Looks like a powerpuff boy
Cons
FLAMES (ugh)
too angular (hands bother me a lot)
too "designer toy" looking to me.
Looks like a Ripoff of powerpuff girls.
Looks like an Astro Boy Ripoff too.
FLAMES (one more time, cuz this really killed it for me)

I'd maybe just cop the dog...but the human figure just kills the whole thing.

this would be cool if I found it in a kids toybox. I'd be like "Hey, I didn't have anything this hip when I was little." But then I remember Voltron and MASK. and I know I had better than this.

They're Japanese mascots, so they MUST be cool.

Have you ever noticed how most things with flames on them are usually the things you would most like to see actually on fire?

The characters are mascots from Bandai's new Collectors Division:
http://altjapan.typepad.com/my_weblog/2 ... ation.html
There were 20 sets of them given away.

It looks like yet another Michael Lau/Eric So rip off. Aside from the multitude of this "style" of character toys released in recent years, both the design and its realization are weak.
Sorry, but these are unoriginal and uninspired. They remind me of cheap bootlegs from China.

Thanks for that link! Linked from there is this page with these (and many more) SIC dioramas - pretty interesting work.
