Ok guys this is just My long winded opinion...but I have been deep into RXH for quite a long while now and will admit to an amazing collection and hope to become less closed door about it and get a good camera and post some great pics soon!

Moco....I think its been quite awhile since Mori painted RXH...Im gonna say a MAYBE the S7 set was still his work ...but Id guess it was well before that even (although I have suspected that the Expo Chaosman was a Mori/RHND in house spray..I have no idea ..it just feels that way)....I remember my early days as a Skull Data sayin it was pretty much a 1 man show....thats why the early RXH sprays RULE...even the subtle ones are special...and if it wasnt Mori painting ...whoever was painting Ruled the gun.

Until I hear official word that Mori paints still which I seriously doubt... that level of respect I gotta hold out for Anraku and Cronic and the few other Brands that the Maker paints em all

I gotta admit there is something special about the Brand/Maker spraying their own work..most of us are punks one way or another and respect DIY ethic period.

Really Big runs and/or a gazillion (500-600 pieces every 30 days?) releases will kill things too....even the Hardcore RXH junkies/Kaiju freaks like myself will burn out and go Vintage only,,,,sure its a hunt ...but not a constant barrage of new releases to spend time reading about PMing searching ect... I have been thinking about all this since before S7 finally got a deal with RXH...seems iike well over a year ago.

If having a Shop that dribbles out LTD stuff determines how many releases /#'s/ how much $ goes back in ....maybe its not the best thing for a small Co.....if the Shop does not do this then Great more power to the RHND Shop I hope to visit someday on my way to Mt Fuji/Kyoto/Osaka/ Hiroshima ect!!!

I think Blanks besides a REAL DEAL PROTO are a mistake period...not just the Solid thing....the KT no eye ...the Red Chaos...blanks are always going to be slow sells unless they are pretty damn low runs( ie pain in the ass) ...killer vinyl color or the # of completist Nuts grows...LOL!

Too many releases just waters down a Brand.....All RXH should be Sick Killer sprays or Never...Ever see the light at this point....sprays that actually rival the old ones in hand.........Not 3 New Sculpt releases (Borg) with OK/pretty cool sprays....just.One KILLER then let it rest a spell then another KILLER !!!
All new sculpts should have Killer sprays right off the bat.

Fantastic sprays subtle or way out and PURE RHND Painted GID's in runs of 75 at more like 4 pieces a month is what I see as long term viability for RXH....thats what made them so damn special to begin with....again no so-so all Killers with a little time to get it in hand and enjoy it before 4 more are released.

Besides flips and trade flips and short termers...there really are not that many of us RXH nuts....and Im pretty damn sure at least 1/2 of what sells in Japan ends up here anyway.I wonder how long it will be before most of what sells in the Shop ends up on YJA.Id guess the V3 Evil on YJA came direct from Mori's hand to the seller....just like the Fests.

Eventually all except Nut ball completists will just not buy and wait for a better spray combo anyway...but by then the Brand is on the downhill.
Besides the genius move of linking with USUGROW and continuing with PUSHEAD....Hiddy is very Wise to be slowing down and regrouping....i hope they come back and Kill it. I really do hope RHND does not wait till we stop buying .

Sometimes its better to stop at the top of the Mountain and make a base and relax and enjoy the view VS keep pushing and break an ankle or falloff a cliff on the way down...Secret Base I feel learned this the hard way and I wish them the best on the way back up!

Id rather see RXH make a Fortress at the top of the Mountain and enjoy medium runs of Amazing sprays . RHND !!!

Yeah, I have no idea who does the painting now, but even if Mori isn't doing them all now, I'm sure he's doing the original paint jobs for replication and he's coming up with neat paint applications like the rubs.

Anyways, I'll disagree with you about the blank figures... I really dig them a lot (even though I think blanks could kinda deserve a price break over painted versions).

That'd be nice. Prior to the release of the flesh sets and blanks, I've often wondered which rxh figures people ended up painting over. hindsight is 20x20 but I wonder if there were any that people regret customizing.

30,000 on a figure that hasn't even been released in the US yet is fricking nuts. While this one was sitting at 8,000 yen another one popped up with a buy it now of 14,000 and of course sold quickly. Word has it, "there are not enough to go around" and the same could be said for the mini green chaos, or the black 8 pk but though there were not enough to go around there were what seemed like enough to satisfy a large amount of orders. Hype 1 collector 0

For me, blanks bottomed out with the flesh sets. Blanks could catch my attention again, but they'd have to be really cool unusual colours. Or ride the spare parts trend and mix them up. Price break on blanks makes sense too.

good luck finding a devilman evil. those sat on the s7 store site forever and I know (from what I've heard) a ton were turned into customs.
i have one now thankfully, but finding one was difficult because i slept on it the first time around.

The seller had a mini green Chaos, that went for like 8,000 yen or something. I say that's pretty nuts as well.

Hype wins way too often.

26,000¥ - MH-10, with the old-style header included, went for 4000¥ less than this brand-new Evil ...

I think in Japan all the flesh versions were a few hundred yen cheaper.

Most of the other 'blanks' are still unique colors, and have at least the eyes painted, or pushed, in.

may be the time for ending that item sucks, too early for people in the other side of the world. Is that a factor as well ?

so the price of a toy not only determined by its rarity. The price could go far if the design and colorway is brilliant even it's a regular release.

or.... "regular" release in RxH means "regularly limited" since collectors will keep and never sell, a regular version will become limited then, hha :x

Hope Mori will release the whole series of evil in kamen rider colorway

i like this thread. many insights from serious collectors.
personally, i like frequent and small runs unlike many of you here.
i like the happiness of scoring and the sorrows of missing.
it also make it interesting to visit the shop which is not exactly in the most accessible part of tokyo.
as a consumer, i can choose which one to chase and which one to pass.

personally, i think no toy will be at the height of popularity forever.
there are always cycles much like our economy.
there is little doubt to me that RxH, Cronic, bemons, or sofvi in general, will one day be out of favour. I think one day i will look back at my collection and laugh at myself for spending so much time and money on a bunch of plastics :D
when this happen, many will sell out or just dump the "useless toys".
then come the next cycle and these will be vintage by then and maybe sought after again by then?

tin robots, 60s bullmarks etc went through such cycles.

el, i agree with you almost completely except on the KT solids. To me, its a great idea to offer affordable blanks for custom purposes. even if i have the white KT evil, i will still be on the hunt for the OG LB white evil.

by the way, although the exact run is never known, it doesn't appear to me that the V3 Evil is that super limited. it DID sell out at the shop at the release yesterday but i think there is no need to get too excited in the bidding action.
doing so will not do anyone here any good in terms of future prices. some of the resellers i know are already quoting the closing price achieved yesterday when trying to sell their newly acquired "useless toys". even mandarake staff is telling me the same thing.

Hey E that was a great response and I couldn't agree more you hit the nail on teh ehad 100% !!! ... but like moco, I disagree about the blanks. Unpaints are the best releases period !

You have asked me before why I feel this way...

Well, it takes a true love for the sculpt to like it without any paint. RxH makes the best figures in my opinion and to be able to see that figure as is and just let the pure vinyl do the work is what its all about. Its takes STRONG design to make a figure so good that without paint it rules.

And it's a good reason.

But I agree with Lash. RxH sculpts are beautiful.
I recently bought the Flesh "blanks" but can't bring myself to paint one...
