Lucky! So clean and white, too. And to think that Sky Lynx was just reissued for around $90...

Salvation Army rules in smaller towns...but like LA, they're actually gouging in NYC. Way fucked...

About 8 years ago In a Jersey SA I found about 7 or 8 1st press Misfits color vinyl LPs and 7"s for 25 cents each. I fucking HATE the Misfits though so I gave them to a f(r)iend...

I wish I had a friend like you!

I was driving down Halsted late one night, here in Chicago. I got to the intersection of Halsted, Fullerton and Lincoln, and just happened to look over into the window of the thrift shop right there at the stop light to see a full size Giger Alien prop in the window, for sale!!!

I was there next morning about 30 minutes after they opened, but it had already gone....

*argh!*

man..bummer about the alien. i guess this was the first decent vintage score i've stumbled on in chicago. i flipped out a little. old roomie used to dig for records at nc goodwills, and he came up with some really obscure and pricey reggae vinyl. amazing how random objects appear in equally random places. i guess this guy was my karmic redemption for missing bottled's am5 mini... thanks, universe.

 nice. i'm gonna have to check out the local salvation army from now on. The toy selection is usually nothing but broken pez dispensers and pokemon cards, though...

I used to work in a collectors store, and the owners would buy collections of stuff in too. Needless to say, when all the old Star Wars stuff would come in, the stuff that would go out on the shelf would be the stuff the owners already had in the collection. One of the plus' of being in that business I suppose, although I always thought it took that fun out of 'the hunt'.
