Killer Squirm.

And that painting makes it that much cooler. Love all the overlapping designs.

He looks quite the little devil in that first pic. Kind of thing that would give Lovecraft nightmares.

I was one of the curious on that myself, Glenn...

Very nice Squirm, and the painting is even better!

Do you know what kind of paint was used on the vinyl piece? I've been wondering how well anything other than v-color will stick to the slicker finish toys like the Squirm.

I have no idea what type of paint was used, but there are ways of "roughing up" vinyl so it's more accepting of other kinds of paints. It still won't be as durable as V-color, but it's not like you'd probably take a hand painted figure into a sandbox...

Looks so good it makes wanna crack it and see the yolk. The brushed texture really stands out.

 Wow. I dig it. Squirm is one of my favorite sculpts and hopefully will be able to see some of these in person.

Yeah that's awesome. I love that there's art that explains it too!

Yup, I like the 3m sandpaper sponges (first gotta' wash the mold release and oils off). Then I usually prime the piece w/ something. There's all kinds of options, but I no longer use the spray stuff as it added to the "tacky" prob. Then I can use whatever starving artists supplies I might have on hand. Miss tints in many forms are favs. If I'm "big pimpin'" I allow myself a splash of Liquitex Acrylic. V-color would probably be the best from my very limited understanding, but I've not yet the pleasure and don't know that I'd know how to use it w/ my style.
