So am I the only one seriously considering putting in an absentee bid on the off chance that none of the art collectors wives are into gross lime green slugs with skulls for heads and eyeball-vaginas on their undersides?
Or at "real" auction houses do they start the bidding from the low end of the estimate? Because if that's the case, they can keep their $600 Menargo

No no, I don't know if there's a reserve on these, but the bidding definitely starts well below the low estimate.

Love the shot they used for the catalog---just a big shot of the puss, and no other angles.

$2400 for the T-28 DX? Maybe for the Chokinzoku, but not the DX. They're out of their damn minds...

dude, this is a bargain compared to some stuff that sells regularly in the world of "Fine" art...I went to a show years ago where the only piece that had sold in it was a classic styrofoam Big Mac carton literally push pinned to the wall...no joke, the price was well over $100K...and it was s.o.l.d. period. end of sentence. the art world is complete BS, and yet I would never dream of leaving it...
trying to make sense of it is what has made me bitter in some ways...I'm starting to feel free knowing that is just as insane as people "outside" of it think it is...now they want to bring the crazy to the Kaiju world...hopefully putting the stuff on the Bay will make them realize that them thar' estimates is a wee bit high...
