 I'm Really Getting Tired Of Walking Into Toy Tokyo and... some kid that knows nothing about toys has a lost/blank expression when I start asking about Japanese vynil. I think the owner hires under adged kids to work the store that have no love for the stuff. They do have a hot spanish mammy working there sometimes which makes it bearable. Anyone else notice this?

Well, I don't get to walk in very often as I live in LA, but, when I call their mailorder line the guy who handles that is great, knows his shit and is extremely helpful.
Besides, if u read this board u probably know more than most people about what we collect anyway, and that includes store clerks, toy designers and anyone who doesn't read Skullbrain.

connection I have to say that I know the owner and most of the people on the online end -- which is where the serious know-how is. The people in the store in the East Village have always been terrible, outside of two guys who are now at the Toy Tokyo extension (Hight Five) in Brooklyn (along with the hottest Japanese girl I've ever seen). If you want to have some solid discussions with people, go to High Five -- they also have some really choice Neo-Henshin, SB and Gargamel stuff out there -- but at super reasonable prices.
