has opening the distribution network cut down the average amount of figures s7 is getting? seems like more often than not nowadays things are coming in handfuls...

I would think S7 is the one handing them out and would need more then a handful to send them out to the distro shops. unless I am missing something.

We are getting less of everything RxH these days.

Will distro shops be getting this one in partiular though...cause they got the last hone borg and chosman...and ill be down there picking up my voodoo anyway...?

RxH is making the runs smaller

a lot smaller

I have no idea why

Smaller runs but more colorways at a faster pace are coming out

Chance of scoring a rare fig is good for a larger mass of RxH collectors but not for the RxH completists since a figure can be released at anytime

Maybe they get bored painting large runs of the same thing...

Damn!

It always seems like the figures that end up being given away are the ones that are the hardest to get. Irony...

Nice on Scott - it must be sooooooooo RAD to go to the store every day - I missed it by a few months, but maybe one day!

Is it cold there?

Its been cool and drizzly. Luckily, the most beautiful days where the ones Lauren and I were sightseeing on. The Cherry Blossoms in Ueno Park where unbelievable. We spent an hour or so in a row boat there. After a few days spent in Beijing, Lauren has gone back to the states and I am spending a month at a neat little apartment in Kagurazaka. The place has been renovated from a former bath house so it has super high ceilings, a rarity in Tokyo. Logang1 is set to crash here for a week or so later this month and Livingdead has promised to take us to the smurf village! :D

Yes, its been awesome. If anyone is on the fence, just know that every trip to the RxH shop will be a blast. It is literally like the vinyl toy fish market with only 1 employee, Mori. He runs around like a chicken with his head cut off. He delivers packages to people in cars who call on their cell phones, drive thru- style. He announces when new things are on the shelf, "New prototype!! New prototype!!" He hands out flyers to the upcoming Superfest show. He unpacks wonderful little secret items from the EMS delivery guy, while shop goers try to peer around the corner. "No peeking!" And bows and thanks you vehemently upon each purchase. Basically, a fun little shop run by a class act. Definitely my favorite shop in Tokyo.

:D
Awesome! Mori is the RxH Willi Wonka. :D

I also have to commend S7 for being able to consistently offer the best selection of Japanese vinyl to its customers all over the world. You can certainly do a little better by living in Japan, but not by much. I don't think there is another shop anywhere (Japan or otherwise) that offers even a fraction of what S7 offers to its customers, and at RETAIL. The rxh, cronic, secret base, and gargamel stuff is sold at a premium here... if you can find it. Just know that if you are lucky enough to score even one RxH mini, or new Secret Base exclusive that there are many sad faces from those who missed out on it, even here in Japan.

Man I'm so jealous of you stealthtank. Even, one day deep in the future, when I get to go to Japan there's no way in hell I'd be able to hit the RxH shop more than 1 morning. My wife would kill me, than Mori if I tried!

The updates are very welcome though, thanks for being our man on the scene.

I can confirm what Glenn said. The last Hone Borg sat on the shelf at the store for a while. But the yellow Jinja and new Hone Borg both have been gobbled up pretty quickly.

I don't understand, they still show available on the stores site

I should have contacted you when I was In Tokyo last week. But things were quite crazy!

EDIT: Slack, those figures were still in stock when I was there, which was like 3 days ago.

I think maybe what stealth was saying was that the old hone borg color (Silver/gold) wasn't that popular and in stock still but the newest one as well as the jinja-r have become big hits and people have been buying them. I don't think he meant that they were all sold. But who knows.
