Post HEADERS...how important ?
I just would like to know what other collectors say about HEADERS ?
For me they are very important, and I wouldnt want to buy a toy that originally came with a header and then is loose...
For me it´s like a cool record without(with a lost) sleeve, just the record itself.
Headers are important for me cause I consider them as ART and in my opinion they belong to the toy itself to complete the "set"(toy + header).

I know this has been discussed before, but its time to re-fresh the thoughts

...please go ahead !

I think there are some header cards out there that are really cool. I for some reason I've kept most of mine. But for me..I mainly collect the toys. IF I buy a toy from someone and they don't have the plastic bag or header. It's okay.

I don't really buy these for an investment. It's more of a personal hobby.

Does that mean I can throw away the bags that came with 'em?

I am completely with you.
To a lesser degree I like to have the bag as well.

I'm still trying to come up with a reasonable way to display the headers.
I guess they could be framed...

are we relatives ?
I also display the headers , behind or next to the toys..
I know the toy is the important one, but there are so many beautiful headers out...why not display them ?

Depends on the figure and depends on the header. I'd definitely rather have the header than not, and I always hold on to ones from figures I buy new. But if I see a figure I'm looking for at a good price without the header, I'm not gonna sweat it. Especially if it's a sculpt I'm trying to get a complete set of (do I really need 7 copies of the exact same header?).

The header is also very important to me. I would buy a figure with a lost header only if it was significantly reduced in price compared to what it would sell with the header.
I keep all headers/bags.

Yeah, I'm weird, I usually want it. I mean, if it's something super bad ass and I know another won't come up for a better price, if at all, fuck that header. Otherwise I dig them, especially when they're cool ones. RxH one's are a bit redundant, but SB switches it up, Garg can sometimes have some killer ones and Anrakus are my fav.

Meh, I just crumple up the header and toss it in the garbage; usually just before I go outside and bury my toys in my sand box and blow their heads off with M80's. No, honest now. Headers are important to me, but not enough to discourage me from buying a toy. If there's something I've really been hunting down, and I find one without a header, I'm still gonna buy it. At a slightly reduced price, hopefully.

If it comes with the header, cool, if not, no big deal. I do keep the bags and headers for the stuff I buy though, its all part and parcel of the experience. I used to keep all the cards of my star wars figures when I was a kid because I liked the pictures on them. Old habits and all that I guess. Some headers though, like the CCP ones that are all black with a bit of writing on? I don't even worry about those, as they seem purely functional, whereas others are like pieces of art. I like the idea of framing them.

Same; mainly, the art really has to grab me for me to feel moved to keep it. I never keep generic headers or packaging that doesn't somehow feature the character I've bought a toy of in the art.

I generally keep boxes, tho.

I save any headers that I may have, but when it comes down to it, they don't make a difference in my decision to purchase or not. It's more important to me that the toy itself is in good condition- it just gets unbagged and shelved as it arrives, anyway.

Post boxes and headers
I'm finally getting to the point where I can throw away boxes (I've got a lot of action figures and what have you), but headers are so small you can easily hang on to those. Next time I move, I'm tossing all the boxes, but I'll always keep the headers.

want the packaging, but won't NOT buy something just because it is loose.

what I don't understand is the mindset of folks that throw that shit away. a bunch of Cronic stuff was on the bay, all loose w/no headers, etc. a header is one thing, but for example the Hobby Complex Zyurai came in a bag with a header, with the art print, all inside a stickered box. how the fuck can someone lose all that stuff? guess it doesn't matter so much to some folks, since some sucker still paid $250 for it.

i've never been able to understand folks that buy a new cd, open it and place the cd in a cd case and throw the inserts & case away.

Right, sometimes only. It depends.
It depends on the MOMENT. When I already bought and the toy arrived, I would probably throw away the header and bag right away ; and put that toy somewhere on shelf.

If I spot a rare one which I looked for over a year , I won't mind if they come with header or bag as long as the condition is good.
(if someone want to gid rid of their old mutant head that doesn't come with bag or header, I absolutely won't mind to buy :D )
