Gotta love Ed. The Misfits shirts that have his artwork on are my favorites. Kick ass!

I met this guy at the Chicago Comicon back in '97 when I was working at Chaos! Comics. At the time we were publishing comics for Dave Mustane and Megadeath. When we were doing one of our scheduled autograph signings, Repka pushed, cried and yelled his way to the front of the autograph line with an invoice and court papers in his hand threatening to sue Chaos! Comics for doing comic stories that had Vic Rattlehead in them...... I guess he wanted to get paid because we were using HIS character. Dave Mustane then pulled him aside and nicely asked him to settle down and reminded him that he did not create the character he was just the illustrator. I was really surprised at how upset he was and the size of the temper tantrum that he had.
I have always been impressed with his art...... but when you actually get to meet people you admire in person, it is never what you think it is going to be.

Oh man... last fall I came across this ridiculous old 80's manga that was nothing but old metal band's mascots (Eddie, Vic, the Quiet Riot guy...) performing heinous acts upon women and violent acts upon men in dystopian future settings.
I decided to hold off on it then, but reading this makes me kick myself a little bit for that...
