My attitude sucks and is offensive to most people. I am actualy quite nice though, its just my opinions are not that of mass appeal. I can see redhanded's point though I think a lot of people need that seperation of work from the relaxed stuff. Its just not for me. Besides people my age in suits always just look like this and then hop into a civic, I feel bad for them

I used to think the same way, but then I realized that I could not only get twice the pay but also do something relatively interesting by wearing a suit to work. And while poorly cut/cheap suits look dorky, a guy in a well-cut suit made from decent material can look very, very cool.

More power to the guys with jobs in the "creative" fields who are able to interact in a professional environment while wearing whatever they want (within reason); I hope to be in that position myself some day. But for the time being I'll just save my "fun time" clothes for the evening/weekend and throw on a suit in the morning. There are a lot worse fates, I can tell you that.

All I said was mishka ruined the hat for me and that I don't like suits because

A) I hate big corporations
and
B) I hate government

We would be better off without both. Currently they are just neccessary evils because the general public is pretty tolerant of both.

I may be in the minority 8)
But a well made, tailored to your size(very important) suit...feels good to wear.
It does suck a bit under the hot sun(or for those who sweat a lot)

That photo above does make me cringe tho hehe
Just be choosy and don't just grab anything and you won't really end up like the above pic heh

I wear a suit and work for neither.

Would be interested to hear your alternative to government rule.

I think you'll find that its an 'Algiz' rune, also worn by WW2 German troops, which has been mixed with an inverted cross.

I love it when people wear stuff when they have no clue of the meaning. Like when a few years back, kanji tattoos were all the rage, but many that were getting them had no idea what the characters meant.

You also don't live in the states. I am not getting into a government discussion. This thread has already become as pointless as the customizing one.

I think that sucks. Its not like I hate people or would talk sh*t to someone for it though, some of you took it to personally, most of which who have already talked sh*t on me on other issues so not really a big deal.

So on the description it said it was an upside down peace sign I have never even seen that Algiz rune, I knew it was ignorant but not that bad, thats pushing it even for me.

There's nothing inherently bad about that rune. The Nazis (and subsequently neo Nazis) appropriated a lot of Nordic, Asian, and Teutonic mythology and symbolism for their own purposes and mythology. If I recall correctly some contemporary pagans and Wiccans claim that rune as a positive sigil of protection. It represents the Tree of Life in their animistic/naturalistic ideology.

However, lots of pop culture entities seem to have appropriated the expression of runic and other symbolism directly from the Nazis. Whether it's subversively ironic or offensively ignorant is probably up for endless debate.

True. Like the swastika. Both Hindu and Buddhist (to name a few) religions used it long before the Nazis adopted it. Unfortunately, because they were bastards, there's a stigma attached to it.

For reference sake...the stigma does exist...but it's mostly only in the western world, where they were not used to seeing it to begin with.

That symbol (called manji in jpnese) is carved into every single temple/shrine in Japan.
The left facing version has a meaning/implication of harmony, peace, life
while the right facing version(much rarer usage/the version that the nazis used) had the meaning of strength.

Just letting y'all know just in case you end up in Jpn and do see it all over the place. On gps navi's there, the symbol for a temple or shrine is the manji.
