What is an ikb? Sorry but I am a Fresh Meat to blogs and that kinda stuff so all these abbreviations make no sense to me. If I knew I could help as I can ask the Gargamel guys.

I think it has something to do with vintage Bullmark vinyls.

In an issue of Super7, we had an article on Hedora. If my memory is correct, ikb is the company that originally made this toy in the '60s...my brain is currently swollen with Hurricane waters so I might be wrong.

IKB is a toy company from the 60-70s
So far Gargamel have made 4 versions of the larger size walking hedoran, I think a few more are planned(ie with new issue of s7)
there is 1 or 2 mini versions of that same figure, and one mini set of all three IKB figures. Looks like there will be a glow in the dark set too.
these figures are so fresh. I saw them first in the issue of super 7, and was looking for them since. I am ready to pay the top dollar for the old ones, but these new ones are rad to me since they are gargamel made.

Ramos, I am curious.
What attracts you to these IKB figures? They are clunky and awkward, at best. Now, I'm not saying that is a bad thing as the original IKB toys where made in the '60s but...
I'm just surprised that you like them so much...tell me.
Oh, and that avator of you, are you at Disneyland wearing some Mickey ears?

I think it is the clunky design and sloppy sculpt that draws me to these toys. A nicely made toy with nice joints, good paint job and smooth design are a dime a dozen. I like that something like this can get produced at some point.
yes that is me at disney last christmas, there was a conversation on another board about how there should be a mug shot gallery or something, and I thought "isn't that what the avatar is for?" so I put up the picture. Disneyland is lots of fun.

I'm with ramos on the Ikb smog its so sloopy its cool....I saw a o.g. one on ebay about four months ago but it was pricy..my original question was I know IKB made the smog I'm pretty sure they did the original zargoran I really want to know if they also did the monkey looking vinyl with wings as seen on the trash put site....I pray gargamel does a version of this toy...I love of the sloppy kaiju vinyls..bemon,IKb,marusan originals ect....by the way i'm new to the site but Ramos,Brian, and all messageboard members rule....I blame ramos's posts on the super 7 board for getting so worked up over these new vinyls..thanks guys and gals...

 gargamel ikb style ???
Sorry i have'nt posted any picks I'm pretty new to all this techmollogy crap. I should be able to post up some picks soon. I'll try and get some photos up for reference to the ikb toys as well as my modest collection. Once again if you can hunt down hyper mook 9 death toys 2000 their is some serious eyecandy in the form of crude kaiju. Also check out the bemon photos Ramos posted awhile back, one of the photos is a case full of crude/sick kaiju, Ikb hedorahs included (upper left).

Oh man - got the green/purple one with the little ultraman dude with a tail today. This is a really nice piece of vinyl. My daughter thinks it's scary - "like a piece of chewed up gum monster!" she said, lol Now I can't wait for the S7 version.
