for reference sake....on ebay...if you pay by credit card, you WILL have double protection against fakes...if you have a fake that you bought...you need to immediately start/file a SNID (Item, Significantly Not As Described) with ebay.
Then just tell them you received a fake/bootleg. Escalate the claim the first chance you get, and start the process of refund/return.
It DOES NOT matter what any ebay selllers little blah blah text says, no returns, no insurance, no refunds, blah blah....Ebay/paypals Rules will Trump any sellers rules period. Thats the price they pay for using ebay/paypal service!
Once you return the fake item you bought (MAKE sure to use Delivery Confirmation, since that is the only "proof" paypal will take) the moment it shows as delivered, paypal "should" refund you Everything, including shipping fee's.
If they don't cuz the seller emptied their bank accounts etc...just call up your credit card company and dispute the charge.
I just wanted this information out there...so that people have some way to recover from fraudulent sellers.

Awesome pics.
And it sucks to hear about the bootleg if true.

Most of them look legit to me. It's possible that he has a boot and doesn't know it. While we all can probably agree about the evil of bootlegging, there's a potential for some "hysteria" and false accusations here. I'd be careful about jumping to conclusions.

This is probably the case. At a minimum, the auction title and description should say "custom".
Its still gonna go for big money unfortunately.

if there are boots going up on ebay, we should post the sellers name since we aren't allowed to post ebay listings, whether it's on ebay or yja. The sellers might not be part of the baords since they can read the boards without registering.

But this guy sell a few custom here a week before posting that "GID head" on the bay. Once being confident on his own painting skill, his plan started rolling which I worried when I saw many members bought his custom.
First inject a bootleg with a few other items, this will distract people. But anyway, I am so mad about this now. Glad someone brought this up and asked mori to verify. The maker shouldn't have problem identify his own work.
Horrible... I really hate that !!

if he doesn't know...which definitely can happen...he should know/find out
since he's one of the main people selling em...
Once the bootlegger see's how much its gone for it's just gonna make them (and others of course) bolder...and if the resellers are just buying up everything without thinking, this is gonna lead to a serious mess down the road.
I truly don't support these damn gougers(and thankfully I'm not a completionist so its all good) but I would hate for someone who desperately wanted something to get shafted in the end.

garadama if you know for CERTAIN who it is, you MUST say it. People like this make me sick and should be put on trial.
I'm asking you to please say whom so we can get this solved ASAP.
As for his other auctions. All have NO bag or header. And if he is making the boot, the others are suspect and most likely the same case.
This makes me sad !

Garadama- if you are implying that a certain customizer is affiliated with auction_toy and/or making bootlegs, that is a serious allegation. If it is who I think you are referring to, I believe that he has made it clear here that he is no longer affiliated with that company/person. I hope that you have your facts straight before making these veiled accusations.

Really? The person selling it is also a very talented customizer right here on this board, I have no doubt who grandma is speaking of. As a matter of fact the person allegedly has two i.d.'s on this board. Unfortunately every time this person or other slimey members similar to him gets called out, some do-gooder know-nothing about the facts members have to jump in a defend these people, until they get burned personally. All the information is out there, but in the pursuit of RxH, Bemon, Anraku. . . many members decide not to use their best judgment and gloss over the fact that they are fueling and perpetuating flipping and practices like this.

Wow this is news... I have some old pics I took of his store and RxH collection when I went to buy the OB Chaos back in the day. See if that same GID head is there. I hope I still have it... update in a sec.

I have a feeling that some people are getting other board members confused. It is starting to confuse me.

Just looked at my old photos of the shop...pics are the blue unpainted Evil, the yellow painted early mutant head and an alpha head... the rest are the more common ones. So it's still up in the air... If this is a bootleg on the bay... it's a fucking sad sad affair.

"rumor" has it that Auction Toy is Killer J.
I do not know this info to be a fact but a little bird whispered this in my ear a while back...
I have brought this up before but nobody ever made any kind of reply to it...
If you're reading this Killer J. how about some clarification...!!! Are you in fact Auction Toy or not...?
I'm hoping not as I love all the customs I have picked from J. and would really hate to see all of this play out negatively for him...!!!

without having both figures in-hand and side by side, its tough to say for sure exactly what we are looking at. it wouldnt surprise me if bootlegs were being made, as the financial incentive is pretty obvious.
that said, i would make pretty sure before letting accusations fly willy-nilly.

Theres another thread about this. Sometimes the bootlegs can be so good that the only real way to determine would be to acetone the figure to see what the og paint was.
If it's not a one-off but an original figure that's been reproduced it would very hard to tell (That is if the person was a really really good painter)
I don't think i'd be able to honestly tell the difference.

You mean mutant head? Not really - take a GID Bigaro body pull the head, take Kozik's pickle strip it and wahlah - clean slate.
Chaos is auction_toy on the boards. Speak up there smapte - you've been called out before by numerous boards members and all have fallen on deaf ears apparently.
This is guy is a proven rip off flipper I FART A LOT ( my own personal experience aside). Look at his auctions and store. Go ahead and continue to support him and he will continue to be the blight on the ass of our society! Whatever, I am done with you people..........
