Post What to do with a defective Bearbrick?
Well, I was looking at my figures over the weekend, and I noticed that my 400% Horror Bearbrick has a factory paint defect. It's missing a line that runs horizontally under the right eye socket to separate the jaw bone from the rest of the skull. The left side is fine though. I don't know why I didn't notice before. I guess I'm not that observant.

So now what do I do with it? I can't exchange it because I've owned it too long. I guess I can either try to forget about it (probably won't work), or I can sell it for peanuts and buy another one (probably from the same retailer that sold me this defective one).

This is the second time I've been left stuck with a defective Medicom figure. Medicom is beginning to piss me off

Consider it an extremely rare, inadvertent factory one-off and get the big bucks for it on the 'Bay.

Waste it.
My opinion...

Medicom can kiss my pimply-white hairy ass.

They've become the Frankin mint of japanese toys.

I've been sitting here thinking about this, becoming progessively pissed off. This figure's not that expensive, but the idea of purchasing a replacement really irks me.

What's up with these companies putting out defective products? Where's the quality control? How much money have collectors lost as a result of defective products? Medicom has cost me over $100 in defective products, and I feel that that is complete BS.

The Ledbetter one? Yeah, I saw that thread. That thing looked like crap. If I got stuck with a figure that looked that bad, I'd just throw it in the trash (if I had more money, I might consider hiring an artist to customize it instead).

from my experience most places will allow you to exchange for a new one or for your money back, look at this as a lesson learned to look your toys over closely when you first get them.

I have three and they are all bad, that was the worst one. I am trying to get joe to turn it into a custom but I think he is mad at me for picking on PI.

I didn't even post the worst picture, Joe signed it right over a huge crack! He knew it was f'd up. That guy has the worst toy luck.

Thats a fair point, but if you're ordering on-line you don't have that luxery.

actually I'm talking about online orders, every time I've had a quality issue I've been permitted to return the defective piece, most recently that Medicon Kaws Blitz with extra vinyl floating inside and tons of bubbles. The retailer had a no return policy(always best to check this when ordering) and they saw pics of my Blitz and allowed me to return it. The only thing you lose out on is the shipping cost, but that's better than losing $100 on a bunk brick.

Are they legally allowed to have a 'no return policy' if the item is defective?
