It makes me feel like I just sat down for my very first time at a message board (somewhat confused). I hope the final is much more layed out like the old site. I don't understand why people like Ponies.

Wow - I'm stunned at how mere format changes make everything seem so ... different.

Haven't explored the CP or other features yet, but it is simply bizarre how this white-bread format makes it all feel so hugely different. Everyone seems ... I dunno, quieter, older, duller - It feels like I stumbled onto a BBS for 'Excel Power Users' or 'Indiana Retired Pharmacists' or some such.

I can live with avatars large or small, though it'll be nice if posts, sigs or avatars which stretch the screen horizontally can be eliminated. I would prefer avatars on the left, but feel sure that'll be among the customizations available.

Also, could we add those great kaiju-figure-specific smilies that someone created a while back? (I can't find 'em right this moment. Was it playdoh? Grizzli? One of our many boardies who can make pixels get up on their hind legs and do Busby Berkeley routines, a talent I find hugely impressive.)

Most importantly, is there news on the DB? That is gonna be exciting ...

The new look of the board is slowly growing on me. I like the cleanliness... but It is kind of corporate looking. I am sure that will change for the better and develop into something we will all like over time. Also, I think that all of the avatars should be the same size. It really gets tiring to have to scroll past someone's overly large avatar just to be able to read the next message.

It is quite a change, but it does appear to have several nice features. Hopefully it will look more familiar when it is tweaked a bit...

Please put the avatars back on the left is my main request...I feel a little like I'm in Bizzaro land...

Funny that it shows the time you joined as well as the date, I know its wrong on mine but it looks like I rolled in late one night and at 516 AM and decided to join a toy forum

If it makes the site better/faster then I'm all for it. phpBB should be flexible enough to make it look however is seen fit.

I do like the 'First unread post' button. That makes browsing some of threads a lot easier. Sometimes I forget where I left off.

I was having a look, and I think this phpBB can be good.
I like that you can have multiple styles so people can customize.. Also, there looks to be an easy way to have a bunch of randomized header images. That might be cool.
Do you have someone there who knows php? You can probably do some wacky stuff.

Is it just me or is the search button not really working? I've trying using a few generic terms in the advanced search and nothing is coming up.

Amp the color up a bit... the pastel look makes all the post run together for me. Come to think of it that probably would be solved if the avatars were moved back.
