'Ultimates' are the best in all of Marvel incarnation. Marvel should reboot all it’s character’s origin and keep them in the ‘Ultimate’ timeline. I imagine they should do what DC did in ‘Crisis’.

I imagine they should do what DC did in ‘Crisis’. They haven't yet? I mean, most of the major Marvel players are done in "Ultimate" form. I hate Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Spidey, Ultimate F4 was ok for a while but got real bad too IMO. The only solid Ultimate book is the "Ultimates" to me. It's the only one that doesn't feel forced, it feels natural. The rest just kinda flicker off into awkwardness and poor writing and art. I think I keep hearing they're planning on doing "Avengers" as a movie, or "Ultimates" same thing, but they want each of the major guys to have a solo movie first. Hulk gets re-vamped in a month than I hear Thor is next on the list, which will be weird to see a movie on him marketed towards a mainstream audience. OH, and I think the rumor for Giant Man is that Simon Pegg is gonna write it, and make it a little more of a hero-comedy thing. Than, of course, Captain America. I love the character, but I'm a little afraid of what they'll do with him in a movie.

My feelings exactly. Unless RD whips out the Hulkbuster and throws down with Banner, the preview doesn't really excite me.

Re: I saw Iron Man tonight
elements of it look good until it turns into a video game/cgi fest.
Hulk is one thing, that for me, doesn't translate well. I think if I was 12 or so I'd really really be into it.

Re: I saw Iron Man tonight
Random comments- The movie was kickass- I hope Hulk is as good.
Nick Fury of the "regular" Marvel Universe did take a serum to slow down his aging; though he didn't take the super-soldier formula.
'Ultimates' has been a great comic, but this year's run imo has been not been as good as the previous years'.
I wouild love an Avengers movie, but I can't see an Ant-man movie attracting enough viewers.
Stark's ring-tone was from the 60's cartoon.

Re: I saw Iron Man tonight
Wow. I guess it did well...
------------------ Marvel Studios announced Monday it will release "Iron Man 2" on April 30, 2010, following the success of the first in the comic-book franchise, which pulled in $104.2 million domestically since opening last Thursday and $201 million worldwide.
Four other films based on Marvel superheroes also were announced: "Thor," due out June 4, 2010; "The First Avenger: Captain America," May 6, 2011; "The Avengers," July 2011; and "Ant-Man," which is in development but has no release date.
