i really wish the KFGU stuff would go away. its an embarrassment to legit kaiju and to the artist themselves.

It doesn't look too different to his normal stuff. Don't see why he needs to release it via KFGU.

I don't collect his stuff...no matter what the category he puts it under...but it's a good point I agree with: what makes this Kaiju?

I would think that maybe because the KFGU stuff limits the sixze of pieces to roughly fit fight figure range that the people who run that business think that makes it Kaiju? I can't figure it out...no matter what the two Ledbetter pieces are not Kaiju...not in anything but name...

just wonderin'---from all the KFGU releases, which one would fit in the "kaiju" category?

i'd vote frank's too. he at least is a fan of kaiju and seems like he tried to retain the spirit of it. all the others are just seem like random characters that they couldn't get produced elsewhere.

Not to be a hater or whatever, but that thing just looks retarded to me. The only KFGU guy I really dig is Franks Usagigon (sp ?) Godzilla x Bunny, it's simple and works.

Biskup's Horvath's, and Kozik's stuff is awesome, I just don't like the rest.

I really like the Biskup Tankizaado. It's odd like some of his other work.

The Usagi-Gon reminds be of a pinecone shaped to be a bunny.
It's just a mess.

Horvath's is clean and kinda cool for that sort of style.
But it would never really mesh with my collection.

Biskup seems really unique in being able to bridge the East West gulf.

I have 2 KFGU the Blue Sluggadon and Slime Usaigigon. I think they are both great figs and sit proudly on my kaiju shelf. But things like Mecha Sad Bear, This Hammerhead, and 90% of the releases are just normal western vinyl with japanese material

All a matter of personal taste, I guess. Alot of Biskup stuff is Alaskan/NW Native American -esque, so the totem pole look is keeping with his art and, when you see it, the tank is unmistakenly a Tim Biskup figure. The Kozik stuff is stiff & rigid & devoid of life, in my opinion. Nothing like a Kozik sketch.

All in all, though I think KFGU sucks. They even have that disclaimer 'for grown-ups'. Ugh!!!

biskup and kozik killed there kfgu the others are trash...they could have been done in any form and are in no way kaiju. tanki' and ika are both killer pieces.

this figure doesn't work in his paintings so I'm not sure why they made a toy out of it.

I think I might actually like it better if it were made out of Chinese vinyl. Western designs look cheap in Japanese vinyl. Kind of ironic huh?
