 two-tone vinyl
I love the marbled gid Blobpus and the clear green/gid Rotofugi Marnon. Are there other examples of makers using two types of vinyl in one sculpt?

 Re: two-tone vinyl
Vinyl Junkies pioneered the marbling effect, I think. The very first toy to use this was the Screaming Pumpkin.

I've seen Skull Vikings with mixed vinyl as well.

I found it interesting that some of the mixed parts Bemons seemed to have two colours of vinyl in them too. Here's a picture of the head of one. I love this colour because it reminds me of old sun faded gum on the sidewalk.

 Re: two-tone vinyl
forgot about the Skull Vikings.
I normally like the more colorfully painted ones like the red & blue, but that Bemon kills. Amazing.

 Re: two-tone vinyl
It'd be cool to see some Japanese figures using two or more colors of GID vinyl as one of the better Western companies did with a figure last year. Not the same thing as marbling, but a nifty gimmick.

Then- the production figs sunk like a rock.

I'm pretty sure I asked those guys about mixing/marbling the glow PVC to see what they could come up with...for some reason I can't remember, the manufacturing process couldn't do it. Does anyone know if the CCP x Kaiju Taro Hedorah actually marbled vinyl? From the description, I assumed it was painted...

I think he's talking about the Muttpop release. Conceptually great, bad execution.

Love it. Bring on more vinyl mixing. Like the contrast between solid colours and marbling!

 Re: two-tone vinyl
I would think the same principles could be applied to the figs as they do in vinyl LP making. It's the same concept and the current crop of splatter, mixing and swirls that are being produced are fucking amazing. It would be way cool to see some mixing here if in fact it can be done. Count me in!
