 The Mist
If you have seen it what did you think? Personally, I feel it was a great movie that didn't overstep it's boundaries. The ending was very rough, but I felt like it was the proper way for the movie to end.

Re: The Mist (I might spoil it for those who haven't seen it)
I read the Stephen King short story when I was a kid and always wondered what a movie made would be like. When it actually came out the cast looked awesome but I was really wary. I'm wary of all horror/thriller movies anymore because 9 out of 10 disappoint. I honestly think the last time I actually jumped or was scared at a horror movie was Pet Cemetery a long time ago. Having said that it wasn't too bad actually. We rented it over the weekend and apart from some bad CGI the movie was pretty good. I don't think people would have converted to the lunatic holy roller woman that quickly but then again seeing acid spiders hatch out of someone would probably have jolted a few heads. Oh an I was super happy when Ollie shot the bible thumper in the head (also sad when he got munched). The ending was good till they had to show the US War Machine cleaning up whatever dimension got released. I was like WTF? No way some dudes in tanks with flame throwers are going to bring down 200 foot super beasts and their acid spinning friends!

 Re: The Mist
I thought it was good , until the end. This guy and his band of friends made it out of the town, against all odds, knowing they would die if they stayed in that Grocery, and probably die of they left. So, they go as far as the gas will take them, then they just give up?Are you kidding me?I thought that was way out of character , and really lame.

 Re: The Mist
I liked the ending. Given what they had seen up until that point, it made sense that they did what they did.
The only part where I thought the movie fell short was in the creature design department. I know that Berni Wrightson was involved, but I think they were so pressed for time that they ended up compromising a lot.
What's the story with the black and white version?

 Re: The Mist
Newbie here. Mostly just lurk, but couldn't help chiming in, since I felt so strongly about this movie. Strongly in the negative sense, that is.
SPOILER ALERT:
IMO, the story sucked. Reused overused themes - an army experiment gone awry, a portal to another dimension releasing monsters, the ending, etc.
Plus, the monsters were absurd - insects with demonic faces that were downright silly looking.
Don't mean to offend those who liked it, but I hated it.
Someone mentioned 30 Days of Night - that was much better and worth checking out. Not a great movie, but much more entertaining.

it's the same but lacks color....... why buy the 2 disc set when you can just turn the colour down on your screen? Americans must be stupid if they are falling for that shit
