I really like the dark colors you have chosen, but the flesh color on the forehead kinda make my eye go there more and not the whole figure. I still like the colors tho. Good choices.

i think maybe if the flesh faded up into the horns a bit more it would look better.
bright red might look even better in place of the flesh actually

The color combo is freaking me out and Id go with a red and tighten up the fades.

Thanks for the input. It's actually florescent orange. The more I look at it, the less I like it. The paint and the figure itself. He's getting the acetone treatment tomorrow. Anyone want to trade for a dyed purple Evil? Anyone?
Phil

Phil No trades, just clean it up and try again. I dont understand when people fuck up they try to get rid of the mistake. Just repaint it, and if its still not up to your par re do it again. Keep the figure learn from it. You guys need to start learning how to accept loss as a positive. Do you know how many figures I have redone ??

LASH wrote: Do you know how many figures I have redone ?? 10? I'd agree with the others in that you should work on your fading technique a bit.. Guess the real question is: Did you have a good time working on it? The process, to me, is usually more satisfying than the end result...(but my brain ain't quite right, so what do I know...)

It's not so much that I'm not excepting the loss, but more that I just don't like the figure itself. It's like not liking the taste of apples, but trying to make an apple pie that I think tastes good... you know? But for you lash, I'll try again. phil btw- how many figures have you repainted? I'm going to say 2 and 2/3s =)

Re: Custom Evil- what do you think?
Thats the spirit And trust me, I have painted many figures, and when i started there where a bunch that I really didnt like. But once I was able to get a good paint on them I appreciated the sculpt much more. Also it will help you to be more thoughtful when you paint, so you get it right the first time. and figures that I have redone.... I would say around 15. Painted it fully , hated it and repainted. Its normal, just dont give up if you dont like the first attempt. Suck it up as a learning experience.

I usually really like your customs phil, but this one isn't your strongest. The fleshy orange is just clashing to hard and the blue and the black don;t seem to work together that much either. You can do better.
