Re: Ooooo, mini head again One of the most well-known kaiju/toy designers (I'll hold back his name to avoid a shitfest) told me last year that he thinks most modern kaiju will plummet in value. (He wasn't speaking about RxH - just neo kaiju in general). That certainly has happened with most Secret Base, though one could say they're more of an "independent toy" than "kaiju" company.
But yeah the way I've seen trends come and go here over the last couple of years, the roller coaster ride is pretty intense.
I think by and large what we're seeing is there is so much stuff out there that collectors are focusing on just a few key lines. This stuff is so expensive, most collectors don't really have a choice.
Personally, my thinking is kind of like how vintage Star Wars collectors react when each cycle of gloom and doomists comes around - let the prices fall, since I'll be there to scoop the good stuff up.
