M haha thanks! I will say the handpainted one with the eyes was all kinds of awesome. I love weird colors so maybe the green & pink have just been too quiet for me.

I'm not at liberty to say. I have one sitting at home though! I believe an announcement will be made soon, I don't know.

Here's hoping it'll be easier to score than the Pink.

Last year I was stashing cash for a big ticket item and so wasn't able to buy much else. The painting that got me hooked on Martin was this one from about four years ago: At the time I called the gallery about his work but they were fairly snippy with me. Since (as is the case more often then not) I didn't have a lot of cash I figured fuck 'em, I'm not gonna go crazy trying to scrape anything together if they're gonna look down their noses at me. Since then I've followed his work, watched his style evolve in a wonderful way and I'm happy to see him at other galleries....

Yeah well, that was then, this is now. No more bots, sorry. Burnt out on them. I was made for making monsters, people. I can't ignore my calling!

M Yup, i'd have to agree, the man was made for making monsters; as cool as the robots were, the monsters blow them out to the water (or off the planet... or something like that).

 Re: Martin Ontiveros
Thanks guys for all of your nice comments!
Uub, you have a great painting. I also like martin's older robot paintings; it was a
great style and those pieces are classic. It's interesting to see the transition
between the robots and monsters.
Would love to see a 'sneak' of the new ojo!
