This is great man! I could really see this go into production, and on my shelf. :D

Very Cool Joe! It's tough to decide between this and pickleloafs bizarro Zag for me.

Post Re: Ginrin Sanke Zag
Thanks again for all the comments.
For the two Zags I painted, I tried to keep Gargamel in mind.
I tried to keep with what they would put out as a production piece.
I mixed in a little something of my own.

For the first Zag I went with a classic paint application.
Had some colors I wanted to try and went with it.
I did first give the Zag a layer of Silver so I could accent the scales.

As for this Zag, I had a concept I wanted to try.
I coated the inside with white so the Clear vinyl would somewhat look like the scales of a Koi.
I did that almost a month ago and was too scared to do the Red & Black pattern.
I'm not too good with randomness and felt like I'd mess it up.
But since Zags were due today, I said screw it, I'm going to just try it out.
All in all, I liked how he turned out.

I think we all like how it turned out, Joe! I'm seriously hoping this is the one. I've already got a place all picked out on my shelf for him! As for coating the inside, that's a great way to achieve a solid base and an astounding effect. Gimmie!

I'm really starting to like how these clear guys look when coated on the inside.
Nice job.
