Post Had to file an item not received dispute on E-bay
I didn't want to, but after almost a month and three unanswered e-mails, I figured I wasn't going to get a response any other way. Anyone ever had to do this? What does this process normall look like.

Unless your CC that you used will handle the issue, yoru screwed. ALWAYS use a CC that you know will have your back ANYWHERE online.

Filed a dispute yesterday as well!

A question for anyone on the receiving end of a dispute- do you get notifed by Ebay, Paypal or both? I'm curious because it's been a full day and no response from the seller (even though he is still very active on Ebay). I would think he would be somewhat concerned...? :?

If the seller is constantly listing auctions you have a much better chance of getting your Paypal payment back. If they are using Paypal to receive payments, there will always be a balance on his account that will be used to refund your payment.

First thing I would do, is request the contact information. You can do that, and they will get yours too, but you'll get their phone number. I had to do that to someone who wasn't coughing up for a shirt I sold them. As soon as they saw that I had requested their contact info through Ebay, the payment miraculously turned up.

You can get a resolution if you fight, and keep copies of ALL emails and everything associated with the sale.

I've only had to do this once knock on wood. I was fairly painless actually. I got contact info for the seller and sent her 2-3 emails with no replies. I filed a dispute and I think a couple of weeks maybe (could be 10 days), I received a refund in full from Paypal. Pretty sure Paypal payment was made from my checking account and not credit card too....

Well, after filing the dispute, I heard from the seller a few days later today and he said he was on vacation and the toy is on its way. The paypal process seems to be you file your claim and then you have 20 or 30 days to see if it works out and if not get refunded. and if you don't act in that amount of time the dispute closes and you're out of luck.
