Post transferring a dvd to quicktime movie
hey there my friend recently transferred an old vhs tape of the band sense field playing my old shop i can get the thing to play in idvd but if i want to upload to youtube or something what do i need to do?

If you have a DVD of it, you can use an app called 'handbrake' to rip it.

It works really well on macs.

Indeed.

I dont know what i'd do without it. I've ripped a good chunk of my dvds to my hard drive on a server in my house and just access it through clients.

So much nicer than having to go find a dvd all the time.

Yep. But i find that you get better performance out of it if you use a mac.

It was originally designed for macs, so typically when new features are added, they come out in the mac version first.

I think you can actually use quicktime for this. But I think you have to have quicktime pro.
