I cannot imagine why anyone would want to use windows unless they had a gun to their head.

two words: enterprise software

Building database applications for the mac is expensive.

They are also expensive to upgrade and buy parts for.

I had a apple 2e when I was about 10(?) and used Mac all through college but stopped after OS10 came out. Around that time pro tools and photoshop were finally able to run well on windows. Then Apple went back to a closed box strategy I lost interest in them. My last personal Mac was a power computing power tower pro.

Besides if you can't tweak your bios you aren't really computing. I like to build my own machines, they are much more stable and powerful than any apple or dell box.

I work with a bunch of old apple employees so there are macs everywhere, the new Intel machines are fun to play with. When the 12” notebook is released I am grabbing one.

I prefer OSX, but some people use vertical market software that's only available on Windows. Junk like real estate software and such. Granted the dual-booting Macs change that equation.

The trick will be if/when Apple really comes through on virtualization, and one can fast-switch to Windows, do what needs to be done, and then fast-switch back to Leopard. All without rebooting, that would be cool...

I was on my parents PC the other night, and it near killed me. I use Mac day in day out and there is just no comparison with the OS. Mac is just so much smoother.

I guess PC is good for databasing and other such invigorating pursuits. :D

I have a preintel chip I-Mac. can't say. I use to run virtual PC on my old laptop and never - I repeat never had it crash once on me.
