Masu in Portland is quite amazing. It is the only place in Portland (I have been to) that has crispy torched-to-order unagi. They have a very afordable daily happy hour menu, full bar, NO conveyer belt (like most portland joints) and are in a well designed, modern loungey environment.

Huh....there's a "Pink Godzilla" here in Seattle. No sushi, though...just import video games.

I was in Burma yesterday, and we went out for Sushi. The food was great, but I can't remember the name of the place.

 Re: Sushi Joints
Nobu in Schaumburg here in Illinois is freakin' great. When I tuck into their sushi, I get a feeling of euphoria. It's like an angel crying in my mouth lol!
I took mini Zag with me on Saturday, as my GF took me out for fathers day. I snapped a couple of pictures which i'll post up soon.
Nobu do an incredible soft shell crab roll, and its massive!
dammit, now I want sushi again *drools*

If any of you ever get to Maui, Sansei is the place to go. There is also one in Honolulu, too.

Sushi Palace = Hamden CT
The owner was trained by Iron Chef Morimoto, I go to this place once a week.
Although its an all you can eat sushi bar the fish is SUPER fresh and high quality. Also they are SUPER strict on a " Order all you can, but eat all your order" policy. You MUST finish what you eat before they even will allow you to order more.

 Re: Sushi Joints
I had a surprisingly good sushi experience in SF the other night at Jimisan's near 9th and Irving.
It had the trifecta: really good, fresh and inexpensive.
highly recommended.

 Re: Sushi Joints
i shed a single tear everytime i pass the cold, dead, empty building on mission street that used to be country station, where great sushi and really loud, heavy rock joined forces.
