Those of you that have the Gigabrain clear Jet Jaguar...

Did the clear vinyl start out with a slightly yellow tint or is it yellowing over time? I have one and it has been displayed in a glass case, out of even remote sunlight, in a smoke-free home. Yet, the clear is not so clear as I remember and there's definitely a hint of yellow.

I don't have the jetjagger but I do know that some clear vinyl figures over time do yellow and get a little cloudy. It's happened to a few of mine

so not all clear yellows over time?

I'm not sure if they all do or if there is a difference between the vinyl that is used...but I know that some do.

I tend to think all clear vinyl yellows over time. Though I don't have anything to back this up with.

no light = more clear.

I got one from a boardmember a couple months ago, and it's very clear.(so far) Also in a non-smoking/no sun environment.

I've had my Gigabrain JJ for a few months now and it was sitting on S7 shelves for a few months prior to my purchase. It's the clear painted version and so far, the clear is still clear. All my clear figures for the most part are still clear. I have 1 window in my room and I make sure none of the figures catch any sunlight or are even close to where sunlight might hit. I think it's just the vinyl breaking down. There might be a batch of clear Gigabrain JJs that are starting to turn yellow at this point. Vinyl is probably one of the more...ummm...organic (for lack of a better word) plastics. We've all opened bags with sticky or damp figures from the vinyl weeping. Changing colors is just another effect of the vinyl decomposing. It will occur in some but not all.
Your figure might continue to turn yellow, it might not. I don't know if there is a way to find out.
Clear yellow will turn into a deeper yellow...but will always stay clear.

I swear by this stuff - I had a 'controlled experiment' under way, but it got dismantled and tossed by a construction crew who must not have recognized it as Science.

But, even after only six weeks' exposure, it was obvious that the 'protected' vinyl was staying clear and the unprotected was yellowing.

You betcha - Especially clear ones, and I try to remember to give 'em another shot about every six months. No problems whatso, and I use it on factory paints, home-custom V-Color paints, everything. Not only does clear vinyl of course show any yellowing which does occur faster than any other color, it actually degrades and offgasses faster than opaque vinyl too.

303 restores/replenishes the stuff that vinyl offgasses, and protects it from UV. Look at the picture of the life vest in their 'testimonials' - It sat on a roof for four years, one side 'protected' by a single shot of 303 at the outset, the other not. Color faded from the protected side (which did not get re-dosed every six months as recommended), but the unprotected side completely disintegrated.

This really is miraculous stuff - I have a buddy at NASA, and he says they use it there by the gallon. I wish my 'experiment' hadn't been pulled down by the builders, I could show you pics of the difference between protected and unprotected clear vinyl after only six weeks of light exposure. Maybe I can set up another test piece here and leave it exposed to the subtropical Miami sun all summer long. If so, I'll post the results in November.
