 Re: Biliken Pharos
Love this sculpt, especially the first and second versions. Unfortunately it has eluded me so far... are these that hard to get? Or are they readily available on YJA?

They seem to stick around on YJA for a little while after each release but become pretty tough to track down after the fact.

 Re: Biliken Pharos
Thanks for creating this post - it's interesting how a great figure like this is missed and so many different colorways are out there of it

 Re: Biliken Pharos
I really like the version in the second pic. But, is the head sculpt supposed to be crooked? I would assume so, but kinda throws me a bit.

 Re: Biliken Pharos
I absolutely love these guys. If ANYONE has the fourth one down (with gold spray) and would consider parting with it let me know, I've been searching for it for a long time and it's the last one I need to be complete on the Sakabashira Imiri line!
The unpainted GID was never officially released to my knowledge. I think Billiken Shokai just put it up on their blog before the painted GID release.
Aside from the Pharaoses listed up there and the clear black Riruze, there was also an opaque green Riruze and a bright orange Critten Seijin released, and each one comes with a comic book and postcard showing their guts!

 Re: Biliken Pharos
The unpainted GID is insane.
I have the blue one and really like in a weird way. It's somewhere between Bemon/Longneck crudeness and the clean lines of say Secret Base.
Tim, I saw you selling one a while back and always thought you hated the sculpt, and that it was buyer remorse. Interesting. hahahha
The headdress (or whatever it is) seems to lean to the left like BurgerBuns...

Thanks, Plover, for the blue GID. I still need the one in Plover's 2nd photo. It was the first release, I believe.

 Re: Biliken Pharos
My first impression was the familiar, 'meh', but after seeing the "better" picture (posted by il_muffino) I think this could be a new mission of mine! I am always down with a creature who exposes unusually large canine teeth and/or tusks (a al RM Pharaos, KFGU Usagi, etc.), but the Egyptian monster theme is brilliant in my book!

 Re: Biliken Pharos
The guy with tentacle arms is Riruze correct? I still need one of those. Anyway, the pharos does indeed rule...stands a little wonky but kind of fits in with his look.

I can't stop seeing those as eyes no matter how hard I try. It's too bad I can't read Japanese. I'd love to read the comic book, too.
