I think it's fair to concede that this particular thread (in the American Idols forum) is more about Comicon and dredging the depths therein than it is about strictly kaiju. If we were to talk about JUST the kaiju coming out at Comicon, we'd basically just need to go to the S7 Special Event site and leave it at that.

For me, in past years, I always used to go to Comicon for the ART and PRINTS vs. 'Comic Books' so I'm pretty comfy navigating the side streets of a thing like that. In other words, even though Comicon is the largest gathering in the world for folks in our neck of the woods, we're still a VERY small minority in the grand scheme of things.

MOST of the shit at Comicon is retarded...comics, art, and toys included. But, IMO, you gotta weather the bad to find the good sometimes. At least until the first San Francisco Kaiju Con, in which event we'll be bitching about 'who let Mezco and Jamungo in?'
