My 5 year old niece saw some of my colorscheme mock-ups I had been working on, so she asked to color one. I told her that I would paint a monster however she colored it. This is what she came up with:

I just couldn't get into the whole heman body the diablo originally had going on.

The Diablo head actually works better on the SB body in my opinion. The proportions work out well and it looks totally symmetrical. Very cool work.

Thanks! I thought the boxing gloves kinda reminded me of the acroyers "fists" and some of the original acroyers had wings on their heads, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
The Microbrain came first. It worked out nicer then I could've hoped.



thanks. It took a little bit of ingenuity it get it to stay though. The hole in the head is just a little bigger then an SB head, but I just got a rubber O-Ring and fit it around the neck. Worked out fine.

Yeah I like it too, it definitely is/was not something I would have come up with- but it has a charm. "Out of the mouths of babes" I guess. =) Initially I was going to do up the pumpkinbrain to look like a maggot or something with the pumpkin looking rotten, but I'm glad I didn't. This one makes me smile.






haha, thanks everyone. I wouldn't mind if the idea was picked up by SB and BlobPUS. So long as I could get 2, one to keep and one to paint. =)

The niece custom is very cute. It actually came out really nice. When looking back and forth, you can see where some changes were made, but it's all for the better.

heh, maybe. I was thinking of maybe letting her do a KT Solid Bako- then I wouldn't feel bad about letting her play with it. Anyone know anything about the safety/toxicity of V-Color once its dry?

Thanks, I tried to stay true to it- like she originally colored the ribs in pink and orange, then got over excited with blue. I also just painted it all freehand, without masking anything to make it a little less precise?

Kira's pumpkinbrain is one of my favorites too. I even took her "signature" from the original picture and used it to make a headercard. =)

Thanks for those awesome coloring pics! My daughter is going to be stoked for sure in the morning (she's 4). Did you do these drawings yourself? Please, if you find the time, can you do a ghostfighter and a skull bee They are so cool!

Does your daughter like your monster collection (thats what the niece calls mine)? Sometimes she asks me what something is, and I find it hard to explain, so I just tell her its a monster.

Yeah I guess you could say I made the templates. Each started out as a picture though. Then I sort of 'cut them out' in photoshop. I may make others depending on what I am painting, but it takes a few hours each to make one of these. So if/when I do another I'll post it up here so anyone who wants it can use it.
