Someone on the board has/had one for sale. Check the sale threads. I would post a link, but I forget who and where...

S7 has them but I can't find it in the webstore. You might want to pm one of the guys about it. I believe they go for about $60.

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
definitely a worthwhile purchase. you can buy them directly from Amazon.jp - i got mine from Super 7 through a pre-order. Send them an email, maybe they still have some copies.
I also think Club Tokyo was selling one.

Wow...thanks for all the replies. m3kcomp wrote: I have a copy...and it's a killer, must have book if you're into vintage stuff...amazing photos...hundreds of full page ones...a really welcome addition to my "toy library." Not that I have a painfully one-track Kaiju mind, but do they also have some decent pictures of old-school Jet Jaguar toys? -- jJ

If you're planning on buying the book get it from S7.

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
So check this out...this package shows up today and inside is a book.
It's a beautiful book and--get this---it's full of MONSTERS!
Very cool book. It's really a book of Ultraman toys, but given all the crazy Ultraman monsters it's still very, very tasty. The small section of Godzilla figures is very cool, too.
Definitely worth picking up. Thanks again to everyone who responded.

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
Amazon Japan has good shipping rates for certain items. This book is gorgeous and is a follow-up to the author's series of pocket-sized photobooks from the 1990s. It's a must have for vintage collectors and admirers.

Indeed. HLJ is decent if you ship it SAL, too. And of course S7 has it....

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
The next book in Saito's series on his toy collection will be Chogokin and Popynica, and the following book will feature Jumbo Machiners. No release dates have been announced. So, keep your eyes peeled.

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
I'd personally love to see a Takatoku book, but I guess he already dismissed that idea (my understanding is he sold off most of his T.T. stuff ).

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
Well, the blurb that I saw for the Jumbo Machinder edition, was mentioning that it was tentatively a split issue with "Henshin Hero Toys," so we'll see -- perhaps he had all of his stuff photographed by Hatsuhiko Okada before he sold them off (if that is indeed the case)?

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
Sounds like expanded versions of his earlier books which would be cool. How would you draw limits for a Takatoku book? They were into everything from vinyl, diecast, paper, etc. Seems like every time I see something cool that I have not seen before it has that "TT" stamp on it.

 Re: Beautiful Book of Monsters
That's true, but I'd love a book that mish-mashed all those together. It's all great stuff.
