Does this upset the toy producers as much as it does the collectors?

Judging from the way Anraku distributes his stuff, I'd say it definitely bothers some of them.

One of the worst possible examples I've seen is when I was waiting for the new orange Dempagon to drop at CKA. It was scheduled to go on sale at 6:00, so there were three or four guys waiting around the store before it dropped. Anyway, this one guy there is going on and on about how much he loves the Dempagon and how great it is... how the new color is so nice and everything. He gets in line and buys a Dempagon and a Menargo. About a week later, I see a Menargo and Dempagon listed together on YJA. Now, of course it could just be a coincidence, but it seems strange to see that exact combination pop up on there a few days after release. If that's the same guy... that's low. Talking a figure up and down right in front of the guy who made it and then flipping it a week later.

There are always a few crazy flipper prices immediately after SDCC to take advantage of people with more money than patience...god I'd love to be a rich impatient asshole...but I'm not rich!

I kinda hate the rich impatient assholes more than the flippers, they're 95% of the reason those guys are around. Of course flippers would still TRY if there weren't any or as many RIA's but they'd be force to at least sell at a better price eventually.

The patient ones will prevail. Gotta hold tight.

A guy at the TT booth told me the same thing. Insane!

I was there but didn't see it go down. Lev refused but the dude was pretty bold I heard.
The cure boogieman sells out pretty quick in Japan too and the flipping is much worse over there compared to here.

It's funny because obviously the person who wanted it..was desperate to have it but after the hype the price will ultimately go down.

I remember the sdcc zag was flipped a lot in right after sdcc last year and now for some reason the fullsize zags have stabilized in price. once the boogie hype fades I predict the same thing.

If I had a dollar for every time I've read this I could have dropped $500+ on that Boogie.

The Itokin Park is a one off. I agree they overpaid but I don't really think they got hosed. That will not be seen again unless the person who bought it decides to sell it. It sucks the guy who sold it profited from being a douche bag.

I don't really like this Boogie as much as the previous releases. I can't be alone in this, it looks a little sloppy. But that's just me. The vinyl itself looks sweet, but the white on top of it bothers me a little.

I think the clears with GID or LED innards are cooler.
I'm still amazed at the size of these, I expected them to be 9 inches or so.

Post Re: SDCC Boogie Woogi...
I have a little different take on this I may get beat up up for this but here goes.

I don't blame this flipper for the price he got. I for one was unable to attend this years SDCC and there were a few figures I would have like to get one being the Grey BXH Kingken, I asked a friend to try and pick me up one but they were unable not a problem. but now I have a chance to get one from that place and it's up to me to decide what I am willing to spend.

That being said 500 for a Boogie is insane but it's was not the flipped that determined the price it was the last two bidders of the auction

I do know that some people off set some of the costs to attend the con by picking up a few things that they may make a buck one but if no one buys there goods they are out the money they invested so don't be so mad at the flipper it's the collectors that push up the price not the sellers.
