Datadub - I will be flying into Tokyo on the 20th August (Sunday) and leaving on the 26th August. Just a short stop this time round, but hope to get as much in as possible. First leg of a world tour!
We have plans to head to Kyoto and Osaka in that time too, so it is a lightning visit. Maybe 3 days in Tokyo though.

Oodaiba. You should be able to get out there using your JR Pass, if you got a JR pass. Here's the English site for Big Sight:

If you find a vending machine inside that sells hot dogs, avoid it. Trust me.

Question, in regards to the Rumble Monsters that were or are available at KT. I noticed the green Pharoah rite off, there were 2 listed but the prices were extremely different. However looking at pictures of both I see NO difference. Did anyone else notice this, and maybe know some kinda explanation. I wanted the figure, but certainly not for the price on the figure that is still available. TOO HIGH, I think.

Hi,

http://www.kaiju-taro.com/index.php?ac=grp&grp=5000060
The upper photograph is the 1st one(GL-GR), released in 2005.
The lower one(GL-GR') is just released on 4/30/2006.
They look same, but the painting is a little bit different.

Could it be they got one at retail and one from a collector?

According to the japanese:
the expensive one is the first release, the cheaper (sold out) one is a re-issue.
Apparently the coatings are slightly different.

Don't do it Knewnan. Too expensive. I want a Pharoah too, but I can't even justify that price - UNLESS ?

I already have the green proto version and it cost me less than 30,000 yen. It does seem high priced.
