 American Apparel
Why does this exist?? As far as I can tell this doesn't even count as drag, just bad fashion. And to make it worse, it looks like they have a whole line of deep V-neck shirts for men. WTF people?

 Re: American Apparel
I like what they stand for, but honestly, their apparel is crap. It's comfortable, but the fit is horrible. The material is also thin as hell. [/rant] on AA.

 Re: American Apparel
Actually, I was just looking at their stuff because I loved the AA shirt I got from Andrew Bell and I was hoping to get some plain ones like it. But, that was what I think was a sheere T-shirt. My other ordinary AA T-shirt is like wearing a potato sack.
Add: and now I realize Andrew said it fits "Like" an AA shirt, not that it is an AA shirt. Screw it all. I'll just wear Hanes.

 Re: American Apparel
That's a nice shirt. My girlfriend has one just like it.
I have one shirt from AA (not this one, thank you), and I really like the fit. The material is also pretty soft. But then regular non-fitted shirts make me look strange...

 Re: American Apparel
Don't really like AA. Too thin, and the neck doesn't hold up. As for the shirt, man cleavage is all the rage these days.

 Re: American Apparel
Would wear their stuff if the fit was a bit better.
I enjoy thin t-shirts though.
Oh, and yeah, that V-neck is way too big.

 Re: American Apparel
the stuff i have from AA rules, 'slimslacks', a track jacket and a nylon track jacket, and I just bought one of their oxford shirts for work, although my wife stained it. hopefully that comes out cos it was 41 quid!
i'm short and thin so the fit is fantastic. also have a bunch of stuff i want to buy, crew neck jumper, bomber jacket and more jeans. gotta make the most of aa while i can get it!
this shirt looks like it was made for 'london fashion' (I FUCKING HATE V-NECKS ON DUDES)
(edited for non-sensicalness, shame on me)

WTF people? Looks like International Male has recruited some help in it's plans to emasculate the men of the world. You can't really go much deeper on that v-neck, so the next logical step will be to make it wider. Are corsets the next fashion trend Madison Ave will be pushing on us?

 Re: American Apparel
a screaming bat tattoo across his chest would make that shirt look hawt! Ultrapaul from Ultrapop did those Ali vs. Colonel shirts in AA and I love the crew. I don't think I would rock the V but you have to admit that the shirts are so damn soft even if you need a "bro" to wear it;).

 Re: American Apparel
Ugh. So much for fashion victimisation...
AA seems to be a love/hate thing - either your body and their cuts fit together nicely, or they just don't. I've heard lots of people praising AA and complaining about the supposedly "boxy" sleeves on FOTLs. Personally, I couldn't care less since I buy shirts mostly for the print/design anyhow...

 Re: American Apparel
Yeah... I can't really support the v-necks but I've worn through like 3 of their normal hot pink t-shirts over the course of 4 years or so because I like them so much. They also make some really nice hoodies.
But really, AA stuff is way better for the girls than the guys. Silver lame hot pants...knee-high gym socks... My wife pretty much has the OK to buy whatever she wants from there because it usually rules.

I've always pictured this shirt with "mandals" and "manpris" instead of crocs. Metros wouldn't be caught dead in crocs;^)

 Re: American Apparel
drag? really? man you guys need to get out more.
is american apparel also responsible for the obnoxious trend of stupid hipsters wearing their girlfriend's jeans?

 Re: American Apparel
Horrible. Reminds me that I saw a girl wearing leg warmers at the Boris show last week. My friend was all like "check her out, she's so hot!", and I was all like "dude, she's wearing leg warmers! any hotness she may have went out the window the moment she put those on!". Pffft! And leg warmers with high-heels!

Well, cmon, him and DLR are the only 2 on Earth who can pull it off. Ugly is ugly. I'm glad, for me, fashion means whatever pair of black jeans fit and are on sale at Target and a t-shirt. I barely have to think when I get dressed, it rules.

 Re: American Apparel
Some of us that run a bit on the larger size, due to excessiveness of nature, dining, and drinking, simply don't fit into the AA mold. I applaud their efforts to reform the apparel business, but they should consider us hairy-chested 12pk gut folks too! Equal rights now!! Thank goodness for the sweatshops that bring us the beefy-T!
