 favorite piece from SDCC?
I know it's sad to say this...but I'm just now getting to really start pulling the toys I got as SDCC out of their bags...I've been insanely busy and the giant pile of toys I hauled back was a little daunting to start working into the collection...and in some ways, I feel like each piece doesn't get the proper attention because of how much was released...
so I thought it would be interesting to find out if you had to pick one piece from your haul at the Con, which would it be? For me, it was a toss up between the Gargamel/Bwana fancy hair Hedo., the unpainted pink Beetlar and the rainbow Dorome...but since I'm picking one, I'd have to go with the Beetlar...
the Beetlar was one of the few pieces I opened right up and it's amazing...so small, yet so well done...the painted is cool too, but the unpainted is ridiculous.
so, if you could only pick one of the million pieces that were offered - what would it be?

I'm pretty sure the Boogie-Man is mine. It's just insane to hold that figure. Top notch. I have to admit, I also really like the Zombie figure!

 Re: favorite piece from SDCC?
I'm torn....as far as paint applications go the FHP captain is heads and shoulders above the rest(wish i had the pirate too). Though i love the actual sculpt of the boogie a *little* more, the fact that it lights up doesn't hurt either. as far as mini goes, the beetlar is my favorite sculpt hands down as well, i was lucky to bag one after the fact, but its sitting in my hold box, so i can;t comment directly on it...I have high anticipation tho.(I would kill for a fight size beetlar or even a fullsize)

I love that van dyke piece, but since I'm an avid reader of heavy metal magazine, I'm pretty familiar with the character and his random outbursts of violence....definitely on my must have list.

Great pictures. Fortunately, I was able to pick up this guy from a board member. Sweet little piece.

My top 3 are these: Not only are they awesome figures, but having the chance to meet the artist behind each one really made it special.

 Re: favorite piece from SDCC?
that super mini thrashman is really amazing in those pictures...it sort of got buried in the pile of amazing things released at the Gargamel booth so I passed on it...but I wish I hadn't...
I was able to score a grey King Kun...and it is up there with everything else I scored...
I can't help but lament the ones that got away...waah.

 Re: favorite piece from SDCC?
I agree with you Lorne, most of my stuff hasn't made it out of the bags yet due to being way too busy with my last quarter of college. While I wasn't in San Diego this year (next year is already in the works for attendance!), being in SF the week of made me feel a bit like I was there in spirit because I got to see the prep work beforehand. I got the FHP Captain and pirate this week, and they're some of the most beautiful paint jobs I've seen in a long time. My other favorite score is the bruised set, and a friend grabbed me a zag this week so I imagine that will be way up there as well. If I spent this much this year and wasn't there I can only imagine what next year will be like

Saw this on the front table at last night's show, and it blew me away. The colors remind me of M1 ring-toss prizes. It glows!

In no particular order the Orange Mummy Boy and the Kappa Tokoji. Both are ridiculously cute.

 Re: favorite piece from SDCC?
Kirkland, that rules so hard. Is it an original painting or an offset printed card on special paper, hard to tell from the picture but you can see the paper's texture through the blue areas ?
