Rodan kicks ass. I recently saw a photo that my mother has of my 6th. birthday party with a big huge Rodan with opened wings. The thing looks as big as I am. Plus a cool Incredible Hulk inflatable chair. Love that picture

Just to add some sense to my last post, the Rodan is a toy that i'm holding in the photo.

Anyone agree? Anyone catch the love later in life? I'm with you on that Paul. These toys appeal to me so much because they tickle my nostalgia bone. When I hold a Gamera toy I am instantly transported back to my childhood. The other non-character based toys like the fight stuff is very cool and I can dig it but it's not the same for me. I really need to know the character to fully enjoy the toy. Quote: Seems the Japanese are making toys they wished they'd had when they were kids.
They're definately making stuff I wished for as a kid!

Great meeting this week Bryan. Thanks for bringing the donuts, but would it kill you to get a couple of extra with jelly? That guy from the Carlyle Group always hogs them all.

For me the appeal is the shear ugliness that makes Hedorah beautiful, he creeped me out a lot as a kid, being this very ugly monster that wanted to burn the skin off people and choke them on smog. To me there was really no super ugly misfit monster like him that the Big G fought. Most of the Big G’s villains mostly wanted to fight him, but Hedorah seemed to want to kill people, at least as a kid it hit home for me. His figs as gorgeous, because he’s so alien and ugly. I love him a lot.
