I'm not sure it's actually less harsh, there just seems to be more people on board now who are a little kinder with their comments - but I'm sure a number of harsh commentators just avoid the customs forum like a plague now.

Big deal if there's a spawn of bad customs! Who is anyone to judge? No one is forcing you to look at them. If there is a hoard of bad customs, then it just makes me appreciate good customs and custom artists even more (and quite possibly the ones who are pro - your egos to expand to the stars). Isn't that the intention of creating the Solids? To have a little bit of fun while collecting? I would expect someone like Lash to be a good role model for everyone else. You have a section helping people with Vcolor then you add a comment about how others are just shit. So how do we judge you now? Are you paying your dues now?

If everyone had to stop people from trying new things then we would all be still playing with sticks and stones.This is not a fricken vinyl customizing connoisseur club, it's a public vinyl toy forum. Let people enjoy their collecting, contributing and customizing without the arrogance? I am sure most of you started off just as bad. (Did I hit a nerve?)

I really think that the ones that think they in the know should lead and rather than put everyone else down. It's just arrogant and nothing else. Maybe have a customs amateur's section so the pros won't feel like someone is stepping on their territory? Do you think that we would all feel better using production pieces and still making crap customs?

I wish Solids would come in something other than white so I don't have to use any paint to lay down the base coat.

That's one extra step I have to take...well...more than 1. Yes...I am lazy.

The powdered dye that comes in the RIT boxes sucks. Its color fades within months when applied to white vinyl (maybe not so with clear). If you're going to use RIT, get the liquid bottles.

also, only jerks use paint. real artists use photoshop.

I suppose some of my comments weren't the best but I was speaking from the hip in a bad mood. Those that know me know understand my feelings and my passion. Some times I'm not good at saying how I feel.

There are no professional painters here that makes no sense. I just want the best for this place. If someone took what I said to heart sorry, but I want the best that one can do. I refuse to see this place turn into kidrobot.
