 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
Image is still up at s7 but no stock. I'm sure the distro stores will have it.

 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
I woke up to a door-bell ring. The mail lady brought my voo-doo obake. I love this figure. I love the color also. The ghosts are my favorite. I wish I would have bought the bee.

What a cool figure!
Sadly, mine keeps tipping over. I noticed that some of the Obakes have this issue...any tricks?

 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
i'd say heat up the feet enough and form the fig to lean a bit the opposite direction that it keeps tipping at.
granted, this is an amateur opinion, since I don't own any obakes yet, and my voodoo ed. still hasn't come in. i just know that has worked in the past for different toys for me...

 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
yeah...try to hit it with a hairdryer and bend those ankles back then quickly drop it in your freezer for a minute or so.

For me anyway, they seem to 'remember' the original way it was molded and eventaully fall over again. The only solution I've found is putting that tacky rubber stuff on the soles of their feet to keep them vertical. It comes right off when you want it to and I've never had an issue with it harming the figure in any way.

 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
My cheap solution to tipping is getting a business card from someone or some paper and folding it than slipping it under the feet (crease side depends on the way the figure tips, back or forward.)
It's cheap, if it's a small enough piece of paper (once folded) and it blends with the color of the base/desk/shelf it's on it doesn't stick out much and it's not very crappy looking as long as it's a neat and clean fold. I have a few older Chaos Mutants I do this with since they kind of had a lean going on. I'm too cheap to buy the putty junk.

 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
I use that double-sided clear tape from 3M. It has a decent hold (especially on glass shelves) and comes off pretty easily. Come by the shop and I will give you a square.

 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
The kind I use is called 'HandiTAK Re-usable Adhesive' whih I think I picked up at Target. According to the package, it's made by the Super Glue Corporation. It was only 2 or 3 bucks but it's not clear like the 'Museum Gel' linked above, it is bright yellow. You have to mold it and hide it under the feet. If you have glass shelves it might not be the ideal option..

 Re: Voodoo Obake: It's Alive
the hairdryer fixed my obake issue, but someone once suggested a dunk in cold water after heating and holding a position, i tried it on my new yamaton and it worked pretty well (the tower was sunk into the deck a bit) its worth a try since it costs nothing.
