you guys ever see the big rubber foam filled dinosaurs at toysrus? Pretty big, and pretty cheap. I would love to see some kaiju made in the same style...

Not sure where the idea for the first one came from but the second one looks like one of the D&D critters from the fiend folio.

The red guy on top looks like he's auditioning for a Broadway musical. Pretty cool figure.

The green and brown guy on the middle left side looks to be the inspiration for the AD&D Bulette I had all these dudes and loved the lite blue guy as well as the D&D monsters

I had these, too, when I was a kid. And yes, these were the inspiration for those D&D monsters -- told to me by someone "in the D&D know" years ago, when I asked him about these. Vinyls of those would be cool!

I think the yellow one in the front with the brown was the Rust Monster if I am not mistaken.

Re: I think someone needs to make big vinyls of these...
Here's two more from the set. Sorry for the lousy photo. These guys came bagged w/ header card, army man style. I'm fairly certain they were packaged along with actual prehistoric monsters, like Triceratops and Stegasaurus. The blurry green guy was my favorite. Vinyl sounds cool, but why not just reissue the set? I wonder what the licensing situation would look like in either case. Those illustrations blew my mind. I always knew there was more to these toys than just being cool and inexpensive.

I have one of these! My cousin & I would freeze 'em in a cup of water, & then have them emerge from the ice... kinda like Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer.
