Heads up for anybody who didn't score on e and is looking for the green gid, i was using two browsers at once with two windows apiece and managed to snag three, two green's and one blue. i went and paid the price for just the two and let the other green go. igt should go back into the system at exactly 30 mins past when i got it so, 5:30 pacific time, try again.

i hadn't done something where i was just not that sure if i was gonna be able to get them both in awhile, tension was high!

I think both are still available - at least it lets me still put both in a basket.

But, if one deleted from a cart takes 30 minutes to appear as re-stock, then there will be several more restocks over the next half hour, as I have been putting them in a cart, checking to see if either was sold out!

Paul, I asked you about this stuff because you get to enjoy your Doks on display, while mine are mostly in storage until I can figure out a way/place to display 'em together ...

Saw your post on the mythical silver/chrome Dok, that's amazing - Do we also know the source of this one chrome Dok photo below? One-off by Blobpus, custom afterpaint, PhotoShop? The photo does look a lot like other 'official' Blobpus pics.

Blue GID now sold out at TC, still some greens left. Incidentally, thanks 1M to Paul for the original heads-up on the GIDs' release!

So a Silver Plated Dok does exist?

AFAIK, no one has ever seen one 'in the wild' - There is this photo above, and I seem to recall one other pic of it on a show table in Japan with another metallic Blob. I'd be interested to know what Paul heard, but it seems likely that it was a one-off, never produced or 'released' as an official Dokugan.

The fact that it has never previously been released is extra-good news, because it leaves open the possibility of it being made in the future. Hope springs eternal! This is so great-looking I can't imagine why they wouldn't make it, unless there were QC issues.

Incidentally, was the header shown above with the Chrome used for any of the other Dokugans?

Until someone finds a real photograph of the silver Dokugan, it doesn't exist for me.

Yeah...not to be Mr. Macrumor Mythbuster, but if you look at the eye on that beauty, it looks like there might be some photoshopping happening there. It's just too perfect.

But then again, BLObPUS has to do their prototyping somewhere, so that may or may not be hard evidence for or against.

I just want a goddamn CNY and I'll be happy.

This GID blue one (of which I might have gotten the last one, btw) is very much growing on me...the rub looks amazing, and I'm sure it looks radz when glowing. Fingers crossed.

I met Kaji-san at an event during the past weekend.
During our conversation, among other things, we spoke about dokugans, his TC GID releases and also the metallic doks.
I understand that there were 2 gold plated doks given out as lottery prizes, so these 100% exist.
I have always been under the impression that the silver plated dok was also given out as some lottery prizes.
After clarification with Mr Blobpus himself, it is apparent that the silver never made it out to any collector.

My initial thoughts were that they were too similiar to past types.... the blue the hydrous and the green the recent sdcc release. After seeing those closeups of the two TC doks I caved and coughed up hey ....I mean g.i.d. and cool colour combos with a cool rub effect. My wallet hates me but my glazed over eyes love me.

It looks a whole lot like the header for Halloween Candy Corn as well as last year's Halloween Dokugan.

You mean the 420 Dokugan, right? (There could be a 420 Blobpus too, I don't know.) Mine's in storage back on the East Coast right now, if no pic gets posted before I get back, I'll post one for you then.

(But, I think the 420 Dok is already shown in P's Dokugan-ology thread here http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15162 -- I'm not sure without seeing the header [which makes the 420 connection quite clear], but it may be the one listed there as 'Green Version.')

A Blob and TLK were also done in the 420 color scheme. The Blob was one of the first releases, and it's really hard to find (but a lucky board member won one recently in an auction).

yah i have 402 LKS and have seen the dokugun for sale numerous time
i think the only time iv seen the 420 blobpus was during that huge blobpus sale on yjp a while ago
