You know he's still sealed at this point but they do stand tho. The head arms and legs are articulated but the feet rotate instead bend at the waist. The tee is a transfer on a lil polyester shirt like they have on barbie doll type toys.
The header is super sweet with the clear Convex/Microman toys drawn on the back with a "future city" type background. I love me some convex...
I spoke to SB asking when the clears may come out and it seems that the ones on display are prototypes and may not come out at all. I have seen some nice clear plastic come out of China tho, Mindstyle had some REALLY nice clear vinyl on a Buffmonster release. As long as its colored i think they're ok.

Ok so I know I'm going on a bit about these figures but one last thing

Yeah the Astro Mu costume is pretty shonen-ey. Actually they've already released the 4 clear Microman M10X style figures the night of Wonderfest (they apparently did not sell well) Colors released can be seen in the first photos, but they are clear clear, clear blue, clear yellow, and clear orange with microman chest plates. So anyone who gets their hands on those will be able to check out the clear plastic abilities. Keep in mind it's likely from a Takara factory in China and they produce a lot of clear vinyl items so it may not be that bad. (or course there have been several occasions where the vinyl items have been plagued with problems, so who knows).

Personally i'm more excited for the Titan Vinyl release which is happening soon if it hasn't already

A little birdy just passed on some news which I think will be of great interest to Convex-Takara crossover fans: Convex have plans to manufacture their figures in Japan!!! If this pans out, I for one will be totally (as opposed to partially) stoked on these guys!!!

Do us early adopters get a complimentary gift certificate to secret base's itunes store? That is killer news hopefully the microman astro-mutans will be made in japan

showed up today.
ordered from SB, says convex / china on the foot, doesn't feel very chinese at all. no seems, nice feel and soft. stand up no problem and i love them, which i could have found the black hair painted one with the gold belt.

I'm having the hardest time trying to put the guy's head on.
He arrived with it off and it's next to impossible to get it right.

So after 40 minutes, countless methods, along with dropping my toothpaste into the toilet, finally got his head back on.
This is such a great toy.
Can't go wrong with clear vinyl with pipe cleaners along with painted armor, gloves, boots & a fucking awesome helmet.
