This seems ridiculous to me. McCain has been talking about lack of experience from Obama but if something was to happen to him and she was to become President she is even less fit than Obama! I really think he was hoping Hillary supports would change their vote because it's a woman. Are people really that stupid? I sure fucking hope not!

My thoughts exactly. I was just on cnn.com reading peoples comments on this; it blows my mind how many Hillary supports don't care about Hillary, it's about having a woman in office. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about that but come on people, this is idiotic. How is she fit to be VP or P if Obama isn't? McCain is really playing, "Hey, I have a woman on my ticket, you want a woman in office right? Vote for me!" The sad thing is the majority of Americans aren't smart enough to see past that. As you said, we did elect G.W., twice...... I really think Obama will prove himself to the country in the debates. I know it's silly but I have "hope", honestly, I have hope. This country needs a drastic change, quick.

McCain's pick is a disaster.

His first "presidential" decision and he picks a Creationist from Alaska with no national or foreign policy experience.
She's also involved in some scandal where she is accused of using her pull as governor to get her ex-brother-in-law fired.
Anti-abortion, anti-gay rights. And she's for drilling in ANWR, killing polar bears and such.

FOX News is spinning it that she has international experience as Alaska is so close to Russia.

I think McCain just handed the election to Obama.

People are posting on blogs that she has more political experience than Obama. What? The town she was Mayor of had like 3,000 people I think. I would venture to say I know 3,000 people. haha. I have never been active in campaigning before but I will do my best to support Obama. Let's be honest, this woman has a pretty good chance, if McCain wins, to become President. He's 72, average American lives to 75, he has health problems. I don't like the vibe from her. One thing I've been reading that makes me feel a little better from my initial response is that a lot of women are insulted by this. They see right through his decision. Quite a few people are still saying they want to support her because she's a woman, but it's nice to hear some women say they don't agree with her values, they don't think she's fit. I hope that continues to get blown up and people really see how insane this move was.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but I need to get it out. haha.
